नन्दीश्वर उवाच ॥ तदाकर्ण्य पितुर्वाक्यं नभगः सत्यसारवान् ॥ जगाम तत्र सुप्रीत्या यत्र तत्सत्रमुत्तमम् ॥ २१ ॥
Nandīśvara said:— On hearing the words of his father, Nabhaga who considered truth as virtue went eagerly where the excellent sacrifice was on.
english translation
तदाहः कर्मणि मुने सत्रे तस्मिन्स मानवः ॥ सूक्ते द्वे वैश्वदेवे हि प्रोवाच स्पष्टतस्सुधीः ॥ २२ ॥
O sage, in that sacrifice during the diurnal rites the intelligent son of Manu recited two Vaiśvadeva sūktas clearly.
english translation
समाप्ते कर्मणि ततो विप्रा आंगिरसाश्च ते ॥ तस्मै दत्त्वा ययुः स्वर्गं स्वंस्वं सत्रावशेषितम् ॥ २३ ॥
When the sacrifice was concluded the Āṅgirasa brahmins gave him the wealth left after the sacrifice.
english translation
तत्तदा स्वीकरिष्यंतं सुसत्रपरिशेषितम् ॥ विज्ञाय गिरिशः सद्य आविर्भूत सदूतिकृत् ॥ २४ ॥
Realising that he was taking the wealth left after the sacrifice, Śiva of divine sports manifested himself all of a sudden.
english translation
सर्वांगसुन्दरः श्रीमान्पुरुषः कृष्णदर्शनः ॥ भावं समीक्षितुं भागं दातुं ज्ञानं परं च तत् ॥ २५ ॥
He was beautiful in every limb, a glorious Puruṣa Kṛṣṇadarśana. It was to survey his emotional reaction and to bestow on him the perfect knowledge as his share that the lord manifested himself.
