दृष्ट्वा सा तद्गतिं वेश्या महानन्दातिविस्मिता ॥ अनुतापं च युवती प्रपेदे मुनिसत्तम ॥ ४३॥

O excellent sage, on seeing him enter the pyre, the harlot was dismayed. The youthful maiden sympathised with him.

english translation

dRSTvA sA tadgatiM vezyA mahAnandAtivismitA ॥ anutApaM ca yuvatI prapede munisattama ॥ 43॥
