रुक्मणीसहितं कृष्णं सन्नं? कृत्वा रथे स्वयम् ।। संयोज्य संस्थितो वाहं सुप्रसन्न उवाह तम् ।। ६१।।

He tied Kṛṣṇa and his consort Rukmiṇī to the chariot and sat himself in the chariot. Kṛṣṇa bore the chariot delightfully.

english translation

rukmaNIsahitaM kRSNaM sannaM? kRtvA rathe svayam || saMyojya saMsthito vAhaM suprasanna uvAha tam || 61||

मुनी रथात्समुत्तीर्य दृष्ट्वा तां दृढताम्पराम् ।। तस्मै भूत्वा सुप्रसन्नो वज्राङ्गत्ववरन्ददौ ।। ६२।।

The sage descended the chariot. He was delighted at the steadfastness of Kṛṣṇa and blessed him with the boon that his body would become adamantine.

munI rathAtsamuttIrya dRSTvA tAM dRDhatAmparAm || tasmai bhUtvA suprasanno vajrAGgatvavarandadau || 62||

द्युनद्यामेकदा स्नानं कुर्वन्नग्नो बभूव ह ।। लज्जितोभून्मुनिश्रेष्ठो दुर्वासाः कौतुकी मुने ।। ६३।।

O sage, once the excellent sage Durvāsas was taking bath in the celestial river Gaṅgā when he became naked. He became a curious object of sight and was ashamed.

dyunadyAmekadA snAnaM kurvannagno babhUva ha || lajjitobhUnmunizreSTho durvAsAH kautukI mune || 63||

तज्ज्ञात्वा द्रौपदी स्नानं कुर्वती तत्र चादरात्।। तल्लज्जां छादयामास भिन्नस्वाञ्चलदानतः ।। ६४ ।।

Draupadī who was taking bath there provided him with the cut-piece of her garment and thus saved him from dishonour.

tajjJAtvA draupadI snAnaM kurvatI tatra cAdarAt|| tallajjAM chAdayAmAsa bhinnasvAJcaladAnataH || 64 ||

तदादाय प्रवाहेनागतं स्वनिकटं मुनिः ।। तेनाच्छाद्य स्वगुह्यं च तस्यै तुष्टो बभूव सः ।। ६५ ।।

As the piece of cloth reached him being carried by the current, the sage covered his private parts with it. He was therefore pleased with her.

english translation

tadAdAya pravAhenAgataM svanikaTaM muniH || tenAcchAdya svaguhyaM ca tasyai tuSTo babhUva saH || 65 ||
