विष्णुश्च विधिना देवै रुद्रस्थानं ययौ द्रुतम् ॥ हरं प्रणम्य तत्रेत्य तुष्टाव परमेश्वरम् ॥ ११॥
Viṣṇu too, accompanied by Brahmā and the gods hastened to Rudra’s abode. After reaching it he bowed to and eulogised lord Śiva.
english translation
viSNuzca vidhinA devai rudrasthAnaM yayau drutam ॥ haraM praNamya tatretya tuSTAva paramezvaram ॥ 11॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्तुत्वा बहुतया विष्णुं स्वदुःखं च न्यवेदयत् ॥ शर्वं ज्वालासमुद्भूतमत्रेश्च तपसः परम् ॥ १२॥
After eulogising him Viṣṇu mentioned to Śiva his grief caused by the flame due to the penance of Atri.
english translation
stutvA bahutayA viSNuM svaduHkhaM ca nyavedayat ॥ zarvaM jvAlAsamudbhUtamatrezca tapasaH param ॥ 12॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ तत्र समेस्तास्तु ब्रह्मविष्णुमहेश्वराः ॥ मुने संमन्त्रयाञ्चक्रुरन्योन्यं जगतां हितम् ॥ १३ ॥
O sage, thus gathering there, together, Brahmā, Viṣṇu and Śiva consulted one another about the welfare of the worlds.
english translation
atha tatra samestAstu brahmaviSNumahezvarAH ॥ mune saMmantrayAJcakruranyonyaM jagatAM hitam ॥ 13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदा ब्रह्मादयो देवास्त्रयस्ते वरदर्षभाः ॥ जग्मुस्तदाश्रमं शीघ्रं वरन्दातुन्तदर्षये ॥ १४ ॥
The three deities Brahmā and others, foremost among the bestowers of boons, went to the hermitage of Atri immediately to grant him the boon.
english translation
tadA brahmAdayo devAstrayaste varadarSabhAH ॥ jagmustadAzramaM zIghraM varandAtuntadarSaye ॥ 14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्वचिह्नचिह्नितांस्तान्स दृष्ट्वात्रिर्मुनिसत्तमः ॥ प्रणनाम च तुष्टाव वाग्भिरिष्टाभिरादरात् ॥ १५ ॥
On seeing them marked by their respective characteristic signs, the excellent sage Atri bowed to and eulogised them respectfully by uttering pleasing words.
