न पुत्रात्परमो लाभो न पुत्रात्परमं सुखम् ॥ न पुत्रात्परमं मित्रम्परत्रेह च कुत्रचित् ॥ ३३ ॥

sanskrit

Both here and hereafter there is no better acquisition than a son; there is no better happiness than a son; there is no greater friend than a son.

english translation

na putrAtparamo lAbho na putrAtparamaM sukham ॥ na putrAtparamaM mitramparatreha ca kutracit ॥ 33 ॥
