    लोहितान् वृक्षनिर्यासान् वृश्चनप्रभवांस्तथा । शेलुं गव्यं च पेयूषं प्रयत्नेन विवर्जयेत् ॥ ६ ॥lohitAn vRkSaniryAsAn vRzcanaprabhavAMstathA । zeluM gavyaM ca peyUSaM prayatnena vivarjayet ॥ 6 ॥One should carefully avoid red exudations from trees and (juices) flowing from incisions, the Selu (fruit), and the thickened milk of a cow (which she gives after calving).

However, my arrival should not be a reason for disrespect. As your wife, I deserve to be treated with respect. Will you not treat me accordingly, even though I came here willingly? ' ॥ 1-68-33 ॥

    अमावास्या गुरुं हन्ति शिष्यं हन्ति चतुर्दशी । ब्रह्माष्टकपौर्णमास्यौ तस्मात् ताः परिवर्जयेत् ॥ ११४ ॥amAvAsyA guruM hanti ziSyaM hanti caturdazI । brahmASTakapaurNamAsyau tasmAt tAH parivarjayet ॥ 114 ॥The new-moon day destroys the teacher, the fourteenth (day) the pupil, the eighth and the full-moon days (destroy all remembrance of) the Veda; let him therefore avoid (reading on) those (days).

    न तु तुष्यति यस्यैष पुरुषस्य दुरात्मनः तं यमः पापकर्माणं निर्यातयति दुष्कृतम ॥ १-६८-३१ ॥na tu tuSyati yasyaiSa puruSasya durAtmanaH taM yamaH pApakarmANaM niryAtayati duSkRtama ॥ 1-68-31 ॥'But he with whom Narayana is not gratified is tortured for his sins by Yama. Yama does not approve of the person with a wicked soul. That person, engaged in sinful actions, is administered justice by Yama. ' ॥ 1-68-31 ॥
