In the sky, a chariot, yoked with tawny coloured horses - ॥ 3-5-7॥

    असंस्पृशन्तं वसुधां ददर्श विबुधेश्वरम् । सुप्रभाभरणं देवं विरजोऽम्बरधारिणम् ॥ ३-५-६asaMspRzantaM vasudhAM dadarza vibudhezvaram । suprabhAbharaNaM devaM virajo'mbaradhAriNam ॥ 3-5-6- the lord of the gods (Indra) with his feet untouched by the earth was witnessed by him ( Rama ). Clad in spotless attire and adorned with shining ornaments - ॥ 3-5-6॥

    विभ्राजमानं वपुषा सूर्यवैश्वानरोपमम् । अवरुह्यरथोत्सङ्गादाकाशे विबुधानुगम ॥ ३-५-५vibhrAjamAnaM vapuSA sUryavaizvAnaropamam । avaruhyarathotsaGgAdAkAze vibudhAnugama ॥ 3-5-5In the sky getting off the chariot, with his body shining brightly like the sun or the fire, followed by the gods - ॥ 3-5-5॥

    तस्य देवप्रभावस्य तपसा भावितात्मनः । समीपे शरभङ्गस्य ददर्श महदद्भुतम् ॥ ३-५-४tasya devaprabhAvasya tapasA bhAvitAtmanaH । samIpe zarabhaGgasya dadarza mahadadbhutam ॥ 3-5-4- a sage with divine grace who had realised the supreme (by his penance). Thus by the side of the sage he witnessed a huge wonder. ॥ 3-5-4॥

    अभिगच्छामहे शीघ्रं शरभङ्गं तपोधनम् । आश्रमं शरभङ्गस्य राघवोऽभिजगाम ह ॥ ३-५-३abhigacchAmahe zIghraM zarabhaGgaM tapodhanam । AzramaM zarabhaGgasya rAghavo'bhijagAma ha ॥ 3-5-3- (Hence) let us proceed quickly to sage Sarabhanga. Rama went to the hermitage of Sarabhanga - ॥ 3-5-3॥

    स एवं स्वान्तरं निन्ये युगानामेकसप्ततिम् । वासुदेवप्रसङ्गेन परिभूतगतित्रयः ॥ ३-२२-३६ ॥sa evaM svAntaraM ninye yugAnAmekasaptatim । vAsudevaprasaGgena paribhUtagatitrayaH ॥ 3-22-36 ॥He passed his time, which lasted seventy-one cycles of the four ages ॥ 71 × 4,320,000 years॥, always thinking of Vāsudeva and always engaged in matters regarding Vāsudeva. Thus he transcended the three destinations. ॥ 3-22-36 ॥

    अयातयामास्तस्यासन् यामाः स्वान्तरयापनाः । श‍ृण्वतो ध्यायतो विष्णोः कुर्वतो ब्रुवतः कथाः ॥ ३-२२-३५ ॥ayAtayAmAstasyAsan yAmAH svAntarayApanAH । za‍RNvato dhyAyato viSNoH kurvato bruvataH kathAH ॥ 3-22-35 ॥Consequently, although his duration of life gradually came to an end, his long life, consisting of a Manvantara era, was not spent in vain, since he ever engaged in hearing, contemplating, writing down and chanting the pastimes of the Lord. ॥ 3-22-35 ॥
