    क्षत्रियाणामपि धनुर्हुताशस्येन्धनानि च । समीपतस्स्थितं तेजो बलमुच्छ्रयते भृशम् ॥ ३-९-१६kSatriyANAmapi dhanurhutAzasyendhanAni ca । samIpatassthitaM tejo balamucchrayate bhRzam ॥ 3-9-16A bow in the hand of a kshatriya is like fuel to fire. It surely swells his strength and his brilliance. ॥ 3-9-16॥

Release the arrows when you see the forest-rangers. ॥ 3-9-15॥

I am, therefore, worried in my mind when I see you . - ॥ 3-9-12॥

    ऋषीणां रक्षणार्थाय वधः संयति रक्षसाम् । एतन्निमित्तं च वनं दण्डका इति विश्रुतम् ॥ ३-९-११RSINAM rakSaNArthAya vadhaH saMyati rakSasAm । etannimittaM ca vanaM daNDakA iti vizrutam ॥ 3-9-11- the sages, to kill the demons in the battle, in order to protect them. It is only on account of this that into the well known Dandaka forest . - ॥ 3-9-11॥

    निर्वैरं क्रियते मोहात्तच्च ते समुपस्थितम् । प्रतिज्ञातस्त्वया वीर दण्डकारण्यवासिनाम् ॥ ३-९-१०nirvairaM kriyate mohAttacca te samupasthitam । pratijJAtastvayA vIra daNDakAraNyavAsinAm ॥ 3-9-10- showing violence without cause for enmity. Oh ! valiant one, you have promised, those residing in Dandaka forest - ॥ 3-9-10॥

    तव वश्येन्द्रियत्वं च जानामि शुभदर्शन । तृतीयं यदिदं रौद्रं परप्राणाभिहिंसनम् ॥ ३-९-९tava vazyendriyatvaM ca jAnAmi zubhadarzana । tRtIyaM yadidaM raudraM paraprANAbhihiMsanam ॥ 3-9-9Oh ! handsome one, I know your ability to control the senses. (But) you are a victim to the third (vice born of lust) i.e - ॥ 3-9-9॥
