    स तं पितृसखं बुद्ध्वा पूजयामास राघवः । स तस्य कुलमव्यग्रमथ पप्रच्छ नाम च ॥ ३-१४-४sa taM pitRsakhaM buddhvA pUjayAmAsa rAghavaH । sa tasya kulamavyagramatha papraccha nAma ca ॥ 3-14-4Rama knew he was a friend of his father. So he enquired in a cool, composed voice his name and his lineage. ॥ 3-14-4॥

    तौ तु तेनाभ्यनुज्ञातौ कृतपादाभिवन्दनौ । तदाश्रमात्पञ्चवटीं जग्मतुः सह सीतया ॥ ३-१३-२६tau tu tenAbhyanujJAtau kRtapAdAbhivandanau । tadAzramAtpaJcavaTIM jagmatuH saha sItayA ॥ 3-13-26Both of them worshipped the feet of sage Agastya, and proceeded to Panchavati with his permission. ॥ 3-13-26॥

    ततः स्थलमुपारुह्य पर्वतस्याविदूरतः । ख्यातः पञ्चवटीत्येव नित्यपुष्पितकाननः ॥ ३-१३-२४tataH sthalamupAruhya parvatasyAvidUrataH । khyAtaH paJcavaTItyeva nityapuSpitakAnanaH ॥ 3-13-24Then climb the elevated ground not very far from the mountain. There is the wellknown Panchavati with forests, ever in full bloom.' ॥ 3-13-24॥
