न॒हि ष्म॒ यद्ध॑ वः पु॒रा स्तोमे॑भिर्वृक्तबर्हिषः । शर्धाँ॑ ऋ॒तस्य॒ जिन्व॑थ ॥ नहि ष्म यद्ध वः पुरा स्तोमेभिर्वृक्तबर्हिषः । शर्धाँ ऋतस्य जिन्वथ ॥
(Maruts), for whom the sacred grass is trimmed, it cannot be (that you submit to be detained), for youhave derived strength from the sacrifice, formerly (accompanied) by our praises.
english translation
na॒hi Sma॒ yaddha॑ vaH pu॒rA stome॑bhirvRktabarhiSaH । zardhA~॑ R॒tasya॒ jinva॑tha ॥ nahi Sma yaddha vaH purA stomebhirvRktabarhiSaH । zardhA~ Rtasya jinvatha ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसमु॒ त्ये म॑ह॒तीर॒पः सं क्षो॒णी समु॒ सूर्य॑म् । सं वज्रं॑ पर्व॒शो द॑धुः ॥ समु त्ये महतीरपः सं क्षोणी समु सूर्यम् । सं वज्रं पर्वशो दधुः ॥
They have concentrated the abundant waters, they have held together the heaven and earth, they havesustained the sun, they have divided (Vṛtra) joint by joint with the thunderbolt.
english translation
samu॒ tye ma॑ha॒tIra॒paH saM kSo॒NI samu॒ sUrya॑m । saM vajraM॑ parva॒zo da॑dhuH ॥ samu tye mahatIrapaH saM kSoNI samu sUryam । saM vajraM parvazo dadhuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवि वृ॒त्रं प॑र्व॒शो य॑यु॒र्वि पर्व॑ताँ अरा॒जिन॑: । च॒क्रा॒णा वृष्णि॒ पौंस्य॑म् ॥ वि वृत्रं पर्वशो ययुर्वि पर्वताँ अराजिनः । चक्राणा वृष्णि पौंस्यम् ॥
Independent of a ruler, they have divided Vṛtra joint by joint; they have shattered the mountains,manifesting manly vigour.
english translation
vi vR॒traM pa॑rva॒zo ya॑yu॒rvi parva॑tA~ arA॒jina॑: । ca॒krA॒NA vRSNi॒ pauMsya॑m ॥ vi vRtraM parvazo yayurvi parvatA~ arAjinaH । cakrANA vRSNi pauMsyam ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनु॑ त्रि॒तस्य॒ युध्य॑त॒: शुष्म॑मावन्नु॒त क्रतु॑म् । अन्विन्द्रं॑ वृत्र॒तूर्ये॑ ॥ अनु त्रितस्य युध्यतः शुष्ममावन्नुत क्रतुम् । अन्विन्द्रं वृत्रतूर्ये ॥
They have come to the aid of the warring Trita, invigorating his strength, and (animating) his acts; theyhave come to the aid of Indra, for the destruction of Vṛtra.

anu॑ tri॒tasya॒ yudhya॑ta॒: zuSma॑mAvannu॒ta kratu॑m । anvindraM॑ vRtra॒tUrye॑ ॥ anu tritasya yudhyataH zuSmamAvannuta kratum । anvindraM vRtratUrye ॥

The birlliant (Maruts), bearing the lightning in their hands, radiant above all, gloriously display theirgolden helmets on their heads.
