अग्न॒ आ या॑ह्य॒ग्निभि॒र्होता॑रं त्वा वृणीमहे । आ त्वाम॑नक्तु॒ प्रय॑ता ह॒विष्म॑ती॒ यजि॑ष्ठं ब॒र्हिरा॒सदे॑ ॥ अग्न आ याह्यग्निभिर्होतारं त्वा वृणीमहे । आ त्वामनक्तु प्रयता हविष्मती यजिष्ठं बर्हिरासदे ॥
Agni, come here with the fires, we choose you as our invoking priest; let the presented offering anointyou, the chief sacrificer, to sit down on the sacred grass.
english translation
अच्छा॒ हि त्वा॑ सहसः सूनो अङ्गिर॒: स्रुच॒श्चर॑न्त्यध्व॒रे । ऊ॒र्जो नपा॑तं घृ॒तके॑शमीमहे॒ऽग्निं य॒ज्ञेषु॑ पू॒र्व्यम् ॥ अच्छा हि त्वा सहसः सूनो अङ्गिरः स्रुचश्चरन्त्यध्वरे । ऊर्जो नपातं घृतकेशमीमहेऽग्निं यज्ञेषु पूर्व्यम् ॥
Aṅgirasa, son of strength, the ladles go to find you in the sacrifice; we praise the ancient Agni in ourofferings, the grandson of food, butter-haired.
english translation
अग्ने॑ क॒विर्वे॒धा अ॑सि॒ होता॑ पावक॒ यक्ष्य॑: । म॒न्द्रो यजि॑ष्ठो अध्व॒रेष्वीड्यो॒ विप्रे॑भिः शुक्र॒ मन्म॑भिः ॥ अग्ने कविर्वेधा असि होता पावक यक्ष्यः । मन्द्रो यजिष्ठो अध्वरेष्वीड्यो विप्रेभिः शुक्र मन्मभिः ॥
Agni, you, wise, are the creator (of consequences); O purifier, you are the involving priest, worthy ofworship; bright one, you are to be praised in our sacrifices by the priests with hymns, yourself the chief ministrant worthy to be rejoiced in.

अद्रो॑घ॒मा व॑होश॒तो य॑विष्ठ्य दे॒वाँ अ॑जस्र वी॒तये॑ । अ॒भि प्रयां॑सि॒ सुधि॒ता व॑सो गहि॒ मन्द॑स्व धी॒तिभि॑र्हि॒तः ॥ अद्रोघमा वहोशतो यविष्ठ्य देवाँ अजस्र वीतये । अभि प्रयांसि सुधिता वसो गहि मन्दस्व धीतिभिर्हितः ॥
Most youthful, eternal one, bring the longing gods to me guileless, to eat (the oblation); giver of dwellings, approach the well-placed food; rejoice, being set in your place with praises.

त्वमित्स॒प्रथा॑ अ॒स्यग्ने॑ त्रातॠ॒तस्क॒विः । त्वां विप्रा॑सः समिधान दीदिव॒ आ वि॑वासन्ति वे॒धस॑: ॥ त्वमित्सप्रथा अस्यग्ने त्रातॠतस्कविः । त्वां विप्रासः समिधान दीदिव आ विवासन्ति वेधसः ॥
Deliverer Agni, you, the truthful and the seer, are widely spread; O kindled blazing one, the wise praisers wait on you.
