अभ्रा॑जि॒ शर्धो॑ मरुतो॒ यद॑र्ण॒सं मोष॑था वृ॒क्षं क॑प॒नेव॑ वेधसः । अध॑ स्मा नो अ॒रम॑तिं सजोषस॒श्चक्षु॑रिव॒ यन्त॒मनु॑ नेषथा सु॒गम् ॥ अभ्राजि शर्धो मरुतो यदर्णसं मोषथा वृक्षं कपनेव वेधसः । अध स्मा नो अरमतिं सजोषसश्चक्षुरिव यन्तमनु नेषथा सुगम् ॥
Maruts, dispensers of rain, your strength is manifested when, shaking the water-laden cloud, you let loose the shower; conjointly propitiated, conduct us by an easy path leading to prosperity, as the eye (shows the way).
english translation
न स जी॑यते मरुतो॒ न ह॑न्यते॒ न स्रे॑धति॒ न व्य॑थते॒ न रि॑ष्यति । नास्य॒ राय॒ उप॑ दस्यन्ति॒ नोतय॒ ऋषिं॑ वा॒ यं राजा॑नं वा॒ सुषू॑दथ ॥ न स जीयते मरुतो न हन्यते न स्रेधति न व्यथते न रिष्यति । नास्य राय उप दस्यन्ति नोतय ऋषिं वा यं राजानं वा सुषूदथ ॥
The sage, or the sovereign, whom you, Maruts, direct, is never overcome nor slain; he perishes not, nor suffers pain, nor undergoes injury, nor are his riches or his safety imperilled.

नि॒युत्व॑न्तो ग्राम॒जितो॒ यथा॒ नरो॑ऽर्य॒मणो॒ न म॒रुत॑: कब॒न्धिन॑: । पिन्व॒न्त्युत्सं॒ यदि॒नासो॒ अस्व॑र॒न्व्यु॑न्दन्ति पृथि॒वीं मध्वो॒ अन्ध॑सा ॥ नियुत्वन्तो ग्रामजितो यथा नरोऽर्यमणो न मरुतः कबन्धिनः । पिन्वन्त्युत्सं यदिनासो अस्वरन्व्युन्दन्ति पृथिवीं मध्वो अन्धसा ॥
Lords of the Niyut steeds, overcomers of multitudes leaders (of rites), radiant as the Ādityas, are the dispensers of water; when sovereign lords, they fill the clouds, and, loud sounding, moisten the earth with sweet (watery) sustenance.

प्र॒वत्व॑ती॒यं पृ॑थि॒वी म॒रुद्भ्य॑: प्र॒वत्व॑ती॒ द्यौर्भ॑वति प्र॒यद्भ्य॑: । प्र॒वत्व॑तीः प॒थ्या॑ अ॒न्तरि॑क्ष्याः प्र॒वत्व॑न्त॒: पर्व॑ता जी॒रदा॑नवः ॥ प्रवत्वतीयं पृथिवी मरुद्भ्यः प्रवत्वती द्यौर्भवति प्रयद्भ्यः । प्रवत्वतीः पथ्या अन्तरिक्ष्याः प्रवत्वन्तः पर्वता जीरदानवः ॥
This wide-extended earth is for the Maruts; the spacious heaven is for the spreading winds; the paths of the firmament are provided (for their course); for them the expanding clouds quickly bestow (their gifts).

यन्म॑रुतः सभरसः स्वर्णर॒: सूर्य॒ उदि॑ते॒ मद॑था दिवो नरः । न वोऽश्वा॑: श्रथय॒न्ताह॒ सिस्र॑तः स॒द्यो अ॒स्याध्व॑नः पा॒रम॑श्नुथ ॥ यन्मरुतः सभरसः स्वर्णरः सूर्य उदिते मदथा दिवो नरः । न वोऽश्वाः श्रथयन्ताह सिस्रतः सद्यो अस्याध्वनः पारमश्नुथ ॥
Maruts of combined strength, leaders of the universe, guides of heaven, when the sun has risen you rejoice (in the Soma beverage), then your rapid steeds know no relaxation, but quickly you reach the limits of this road (to the sacrifice).
