यासि॒ कुत्से॑न स॒रथ॑मव॒स्युस्तो॒दो वात॑स्य॒ हर्यो॒रीशा॑नः । ऋ॒ज्रा वाजं॒ न गध्यं॒ युयू॑षन्क॒विर्यदह॒न्पार्या॑य॒ भूषा॑त् ॥ यासि कुत्सेन सरथमवस्युस्तोदो वातस्य हर्योरीशानः । ऋज्रा वाजं न गध्यं युयूषन्कविर्यदहन्पार्याय भूषात् ॥
You go with Kutsa in the same chariot, determined to defend him; (you) who are the tormentor (of foes), the lord of horses (of the speech) of the wind; on the same day wherein, yoking (to the car) the straight-going steeds, as if to receive food, the sage (Kutsa) has been enabled to cross over (the sea) of calamity.

For Kutsa, you have slain the unhappy Śuṣṇa and in the forepart of the day, attended by thousands (you have slain) Kuyava with the thunderbolt; you have swiftly destroyed the Dasyus, and you have cut them to pieces in the battle, with the wheel (of the chariot of) the sun.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्वं पिप्रुं॒ मृग॑यं शूशु॒वांस॑मृ॒जिश्व॑ने वैदथि॒नाय॑ रन्धीः । प॒ञ्चा॒शत्कृ॒ष्णा नि व॑पः स॒हस्रात्कं॒ न पुरो॑ जरि॒मा वि द॑र्दः ॥ त्वं पिप्रुं मृगयं शूशुवांसमृजिश्वने वैदथिनाय रन्धीः । पञ्चाशत्कृष्णा नि वपः सहस्रात्कं न पुरो जरिमा वि दर्दः ॥
You have subjugated Pipru and the mighty Mṛgayā for the sake of Ṛjiṣvan, the son of Vidathin, you have slain the fifty thousand Kṛṣṇas; and, as old age (destroys) life, you have demolished the cities (of Śambara).

tvaM pipruM॒ mRga॑yaM zUzu॒vAMsa॑mR॒jizva॑ne vaidathi॒nAya॑ randhIH । pa॒JcA॒zatkR॒SNA ni va॑paH sa॒hasrAtkaM॒ na puro॑ jari॒mA vi da॑rdaH ॥ tvaM pipruM mRgayaM zUzuvAMsamRjizvane vaidathinAya randhIH । paJcAzatkRSNA ni vapaH sahasrAtkaM na puro jarimA vi dardaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसूर॑ उपा॒के त॒न्वं१॒॑ दधा॑नो॒ वि यत्ते॒ चेत्य॒मृत॑स्य॒ वर्प॑: । मृ॒गो न ह॒स्ती तवि॑षीमुषा॒णः सिं॒हो न भी॒म आयु॑धानि॒ बिभ्र॑त् ॥ सूर उपाके तन्वं दधानो वि यत्ते चेत्यमृतस्य वर्पः । मृगो न हस्ती तविषीमुषाणः सिंहो न भीम आयुधानि बिभ्रत् ॥
While having (your) person n in the proximity of the sun, your form becomes redolent of ambrosia, and you are like the deer-like elephant, consuming the strength (of the strong), and are like a terrible lion when wielding your weapons.

sUra॑ upA॒ke ta॒nvaM1॒॑ dadhA॑no॒ vi yatte॒ cetya॒mRta॑sya॒ varpa॑: । mR॒go na ha॒stI tavi॑SImuSA॒NaH siM॒ho na bhI॒ma Ayu॑dhAni॒ bibhra॑t ॥ sUra upAke tanvaM dadhAno vi yatte cetyamRtasya varpaH । mRgo na hastI taviSImuSANaH siMho na bhIma AyudhAni bibhrat ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइन्द्रं॒ कामा॑ वसू॒यन्तो॑ अग्म॒न्त्स्व॑र्मीळ्हे॒ न सव॑ने चका॒नाः । श्र॒व॒स्यव॑: शशमा॒नास॑ उ॒क्थैरोको॒ न र॒ण्वा सु॒दृशी॑व पु॒ष्टिः ॥ इन्द्रं कामा वसूयन्तो अग्मन्त्स्वर्मीळ्हे न सवने चकानाः । श्रवस्यवः शशमानास उक्थैरोको न रण्वा सुदृशीव पुष्टिः ॥
Relying (upon Indra) for protection, and desirous of riches, (pious men) repair to him soliciting his presence in the sacrifice, as if in the battle, asking for food, celebrating his praise with hymns, for he is the refuge (of his worshippers), and resembles the grateful and lovely (goddess) of nutrition.
