तनू॒नपा॑दुच्यते॒ गर्भ॑ आसु॒रो नरा॒शंसो॑ भवति॒ यद्वि॒जाय॑ते । मा॒त॒रिश्वा॒ यदमि॑मीत मा॒तरि॒ वात॑स्य॒ सर्गो॑ अभव॒त्सरी॑मणि ॥ तनूनपादुच्यते गर्भ आसुरो नराशंसो भवति यद्विजायते । मातरिश्वा यदमिमीत मातरि वातस्य सर्गो अभवत्सरीमणि ॥
When (existing) as an embryo (in the wood), Agni is called Tanunapāt; when he is genitive rated (he is called) the asura-destroying narāśam,sa; when he has displayed (his energy) in the material firmament, Mātariśvan; and the creation of the wind is in his rapid motion.
english translation
सु॒नि॒र्मथा॒ निर्म॑थितः सुनि॒धा निहि॑तः क॒विः । अग्ने॑ स्वध्व॒रा कृ॑णु दे॒वान्दे॑वय॒ते य॑ज ॥ सुनिर्मथा निर्मथितः सुनिधा निहितः कविः । अग्ने स्वध्वरा कृणु देवान्देवयते यज ॥
Agni, who is pronounced by reverential attrition, and deposited with reverential care, and who are far-seeing, render our rites (exempt from defects), and worship the gods (on behalf) of the devout worshipper.
english translation
अजी॑जनन्न॒मृतं॒ मर्त्या॑सोऽस्रे॒माणं॑ त॒रणिं॑ वी॒ळुज॑म्भम् । दश॒ स्वसा॑रो अ॒ग्रुव॑: समी॒चीः पुमां॑सं जा॒तम॒भि सं र॑भन्ते ॥ अजीजनन्नमृतं मर्त्यासोऽस्रेमाणं तरणिं वीळुजम्भम् । दश स्वसारो अग्रुवः समीचीः पुमांसं जातमभि सं रभन्ते ॥
Mortals have begotten the immortals, the undecaying (Agni), the devourer of oblations, the conveyance (by which they cross over sin), the ten sister fingers intertwined proclaim him born as if it was a male (infant).
english translation
प्र स॒प्तहो॑ता सन॒काद॑रोचत मा॒तुरु॒पस्थे॒ यदशो॑च॒दूध॑नि । न नि मि॑षति सु॒रणो॑ दि॒वेदि॑वे॒ यदसु॑रस्य ज॒ठरा॒दजा॑यत ॥ प्र सप्तहोता सनकादरोचत मातुरुपस्थे यदशोचदूधनि । न नि मिषति सुरणो दिवेदिवे यदसुरस्य जठरादजायत ॥
Agni, who has seven ministering priests, shines eternally; when he has blazed upon the bosom and lap of his mother (earth), he is vociferous (with delight); day by day he never slumbers after he is born from the interior of the (spark) emitting wood.

अ॒मि॒त्रा॒युधो॑ म॒रुता॑मिव प्र॒याः प्र॑थम॒जा ब्रह्म॑णो॒ विश्व॒मिद्वि॑दुः । द्यु॒म्नव॒द्ब्रह्म॑ कुशि॒कास॒ एरि॑र॒ एक॑एको॒ दमे॑ अ॒ग्निं समी॑धिरे ॥ अमित्रायुधो मरुतामिव प्रयाः प्रथमजा ब्रह्मणो विश्वमिद्विदुः । द्युम्नवद्ब्रह्म कुशिकास एरिर एकएको दमे अग्निं समीधिरे ॥
The Kuśikas, the first-born of Brahmā, armed against enemies like the energies of the Maruts, comprehend the universe; they have uttered the prayer accompanied by the oblation; they have one by one lighted Agni in this dwelling.
