अस्ती॒दम॑धि॒मन्थ॑न॒मस्ति॑ प्र॒जन॑नं कृ॒तम् । ए॒तां वि॒श्पत्नी॒मा भ॑रा॒ग्निं म॑न्थाम पू॒र्वथा॑ ॥ अस्तीदमधिमन्थनमस्ति प्रजननं कृतम् । एतां विश्पत्नीमा भराग्निं मन्थाम पूर्वथा ॥

This, the apparatus of attrition is ready; the genitive ration (of the flame) is ready; take up this (stick) the protectress of mankind, and let us churn the fire as has been done of old.

english translation

अ॒रण्यो॒र्निहि॑तो जा॒तवे॑दा॒ गर्भ॑ इव॒ सुधि॑तो ग॒र्भिणी॑षु । दि॒वेदि॑व॒ ईड्यो॑ जागृ॒वद्भि॑र्ह॒विष्म॑द्भिर्मनु॒ष्ये॑भिर॒ग्निः ॥ अरण्योर्निहितो जातवेदा गर्भ इव सुधितो गर्भिणीषु । दिवेदिव ईड्यो जागृवद्भिर्हविष्मद्भिर्मनुष्येभिरग्निः ॥

Jātavedas has been deposited in the two sticks as the embryo is deposited in pregnant women; Agni is to be adored day by day by vigilant men laden with oblations.

english translation

उ॒त्ता॒नाया॒मव॑ भरा चिकि॒त्वान्त्स॒द्यः प्रवी॑ता॒ वृष॑णं जजान । अ॒रु॒षस्तू॑पो॒ रुश॑दस्य॒ पाज॒ इळा॑यास्पु॒त्रो व॒युने॑ऽजनिष्ट ॥ उत्तानायामव भरा चिकित्वान्त्सद्यः प्रवीता वृषणं जजान । अरुषस्तूपो रुशदस्य पाज इळायास्पुत्रो वयुनेऽजनिष्ट ॥

Let the intelligent priest plural ce the lower of the sticks with the face upwards, the upper (with the surface) downwards, so that quickly impregnated it may genitive rate the showerer (of benefits) Agni; then the bright blazing son of Iḷā whose light dissipates the darkness is born of the wood of attrition.

इळा॑यास्त्वा प॒दे व॒यं नाभा॑ पृथि॒व्या अधि॑ । जात॑वेदो॒ नि धी॑म॒ह्यग्ने॑ ह॒व्याय॒ वोळ्ह॑वे ॥ इळायास्त्वा पदे वयं नाभा पृथिव्या अधि । जातवेदो नि धीमह्यग्ने हव्याय वोळ्हवे ॥

Agni who is Jātavedas, we plural ce you upon the earth in the centre, in the plural ce of Iḷā, for the purpose of receiving the oblation.

मन्थ॑ता नरः क॒विमद्व॑यन्तं॒ प्रचे॑तसम॒मृतं॑ सु॒प्रती॑कम् । य॒ज्ञस्य॑ के॒तुं प्र॑थ॒मं पु॒रस्ता॑द॒ग्निं न॑रो जनयता सु॒शेव॑म् ॥ मन्थता नरः कविमद्वयन्तं प्रचेतसममृतं सुप्रतीकम् । यज्ञस्य केतुं प्रथमं पुरस्तादग्निं नरो जनयता सुशेवम् ॥

Conductors of the rite, produce by attrition the far-seeing, single-minded, intelligent, immortal, radiant-limbed Agni; genitive rate him, leaders (of the solemnity), in the first plural ce the chief standard of the sacrifice, who is the source of felicity.
