इ॒यं न॑ उ॒स्रा प्र॑थ॒मा सु॑दे॒व्यं॑ रे॒वत्स॒निभ्यो॑ रे॒वती॒ व्यु॑च्छतु । आ॒रे म॒न्युं दु॑र्वि॒दत्र॑स्य धीमहि स्व॒स्त्य१॒॑ग्निं स॑मिधा॒नमी॑महे ॥ इयं न उस्रा प्रथमा सुदेव्यं रेवत्सनिभ्यो रेवती व्युच्छतु । आरे मन्युं दुर्विदत्रस्य धीमहि स्वस्त्यग्निं समिधानमीमहे ॥
May this first dawn, the possessor of wealth, open; bringing to us who are liberal (a season) fit for thegods, abounding with riches; we consider the anger of the malevolent (to be) remote; we solicit the kindled firefor our welfare.
