अक्षे॑त्रवित्क्षेत्र॒विदं॒ ह्यप्रा॒ट् स प्रैति॑ क्षेत्र॒विदानु॑शिष्टः । ए॒तद्वै भ॒द्रम॑नु॒शास॑नस्यो॒त स्रु॒तिं वि॑न्दत्यञ्ज॒सीना॑म् ॥ अक्षेत्रवित्क्षेत्रविदं ह्यप्राट् स प्रैति क्षेत्रविदानुशिष्टः । एतद्वै भद्रमनुशासनस्योत स्रुतिं विन्दत्यञ्जसीनाम् ॥

He who knows the field and is not aware of the field is taught by the knower of the field. This is the auspicious source of discipline for the easy-going. He who does not know the field and who knows the field is not aware of the field, but he is taught by the knower of the field. This is the auspicious source of discipline, and one can easily attain it.

english translation

akSe॑travitkSetra॒vidaM॒ hyaprA॒T sa praiti॑ kSetra॒vidAnu॑ziSTaH | e॒tadvai bha॒drama॑nu॒zAsa॑nasyo॒ta sru॒tiM vi॑ndatyaJja॒sInA॑m || akSetravitkSetravidaM hyaprAT sa praiti kSetravidAnuziSTaH | etadvai bhadramanuzAsanasyota srutiM vindatyaJjasInAm ||
