दर्श॒न्न्वत्र॑ शृत॒पाँ अ॑नि॒न्द्रान्बा॑हु॒क्षद॒: शर॑वे॒ पत्य॑मानान् । घृषुं॑ वा॒ ये नि॑नि॒दुः सखा॑य॒मध्यू॒ न्वे॑षु प॒वयो॑ ववृत्युः ॥ दर्शन्न्वत्र शृतपाँ अनिन्द्रान्बाहुक्षदः शरवे पत्यमानान् । घृषुं वा ये निनिदुः सखायमध्यू न्वेषु पवयो ववृत्युः ॥

sanskrit

Beholding here the drinkers of the libations who serve not Indra, who cut (the worshippers) to pieceswith their hands, assailing them to do them harm; my shafts quickly fall upon them, as well as on those who revile(your) powerful friend. all existence; the ancient Indra verily destroys (his foe), the other does not destroy (Indra). The united two(heaven and earth) surpass not him who extends beyond the confines of the universe.

darza॒nnvatra॑ zRta॒pA~ a॑ni॒ndrAnbA॑hu॒kSada॒: zara॑ve॒ patya॑mAnAn | ghRSuM॑ vA॒ ye ni॑ni॒duH sakhA॑ya॒madhyU॒ nve॑Su pa॒vayo॑ vavRtyuH || darzannvatra zRtapA~ anindrAnbAhukSadaH zarave patyamAnAn | ghRSuM vA ye niniduH sakhAyamadhyU nveSu pavayo vavRtyuH ||

अभू॒र्वौक्षी॒र्व्यु१॒॑ आयु॑रान॒ड्दर्ष॒न्नु पूर्वो॒ अप॑रो॒ नु द॑र्षत् । द्वे प॒वस्ते॒ परि॒ तं न भू॑तो॒ यो अ॒स्य पा॒रे रज॑सो वि॒वेष॑ ॥ अभूर्वौक्षीर्व्यु आयुरानड्दर्षन्नु पूर्वो अपरो नु दर्षत् । द्वे पवस्ते परि तं न भूतो यो अस्य पारे रजसो विवेष ॥

sanskrit

They were the ones who saw the life of the snowflakes, the former and the latter. The two winds are not the same as the one who entered the other side of the dust. There was no one who saw the life of the demon Vaukṣī, who was the source of all life. The two winds blow around him, but he is not the one who entered the other side of the dust.

गावो॒ यवं॒ प्रयु॑ता अ॒र्यो अ॑क्ष॒न्ता अ॑पश्यं स॒हगो॑पा॒श्चर॑न्तीः । हवा॒ इद॒र्यो अ॒भित॒: समा॑य॒न्किय॑दासु॒ स्वप॑तिश्छन्दयाते ॥ गावो यवं प्रयुता अर्यो अक्षन्ता अपश्यं सहगोपाश्चरन्तीः । हवा इदर्यो अभितः समायन्कियदासु स्वपतिश्छन्दयाते ॥

The assembled cattle feed upon the barley; I their master have beheld them grazing, tended by theherdsman; when called, they collect around their lord; when they approach, how much milk does he desire (totake)?

english translation

gAvo॒ yavaM॒ prayu॑tA a॒ryo a॑kSa॒ntA a॑pazyaM sa॒hago॑pA॒zcara॑ntIH | havA॒ ida॒ryo a॒bhita॒: samA॑ya॒nkiya॑dAsu॒ svapa॑tizchandayAte || gAvo yavaM prayutA aryo akSantA apazyaM sahagopAzcarantIH | havA idaryo abhitaH samAyankiyadAsu svapatizchandayAte ||

सं यद्वयं॑ यव॒सादो॒ जना॑नाम॒हं य॒वाद॑ उ॒र्वज्रे॑ अ॒न्तः । अत्रा॑ यु॒क्तो॑ऽवसा॒तार॑मिच्छा॒दथो॒ अयु॑क्तं युनजद्वव॒न्वान् ॥ सं यद्वयं यवसादो जनानामहं यवाद उर्वज्रे अन्तः । अत्रा युक्तोऽवसातारमिच्छादथो अयुक्तं युनजद्ववन्वान् ॥

When we, the grass-eaters of men, (are) together, I (am) among the barley-eaters in the wide field;here he who is yoked would like one to unloose him, and the assailant would yoke him who is unyoked.

english translation

saM yadvayaM॑ yava॒sAdo॒ janA॑nAma॒haM ya॒vAda॑ u॒rvajre॑ a॒ntaH | atrA॑ yu॒kto॑'vasA॒tAra॑micchA॒datho॒ ayu॑ktaM yunajadvava॒nvAn || saM yadvayaM yavasAdo janAnAmahaM yavAda urvajre antaH | atrA yukto'vasAtAramicchAdatho ayuktaM yunajadvavanvAn ||

अत्रेदु॑ मे मंससे स॒त्यमु॒क्तं द्वि॒पाच्च॒ यच्चतु॑ष्पात्संसृ॒जानि॑ । स्त्री॒भिर्यो अत्र॒ वृष॑णं पृत॒न्यादयु॑द्धो अस्य॒ वि भ॑जानि॒ वेद॑: ॥ अत्रेदु मे मंससे सत्यमुक्तं द्विपाच्च यच्चतुष्पात्संसृजानि । स्त्रीभिर्यो अत्र वृषणं पृतन्यादयुद्धो अस्य वि भजानि वेदः ॥

sanskrit

(Indra speaks). You know that what is said by me at this time is the truth, that I may create both bipedsand quadrupeds. I distribute without conflict (among my worshippers) the wealth (that I have taken from him), who(neglecting me), the showerer of desires), wishes to contend with women.

english translation

atredu॑ me maMsase sa॒tyamu॒ktaM dvi॒pAcca॒ yaccatu॑SpAtsaMsR॒jAni॑ | strI॒bhiryo atra॒ vRSa॑NaM pRta॒nyAdayu॑ddho asya॒ vi bha॑jAni॒ veda॑: || atredu me maMsase satyamuktaM dvipAcca yaccatuSpAtsaMsRjAni | strIbhiryo atra vRSaNaM pRtanyAdayuddho asya vi bhajAni vedaH ||
