तदिदा॑स॒ भुव॑नेषु॒ ज्येष्ठं॒ यतो॑ ज॒ज्ञ उ॒ग्रस्त्वे॒षनृ॑म्णः । स॒द्यो ज॑ज्ञा॒नो नि रि॑णाति॒ शत्रू॒ननु॒ यं विश्वे॒ मद॒न्त्यूमा॑: ॥ तदिदास भुवनेषु ज्येष्ठं यतो जज्ञ उग्रस्त्वेषनृम्णः । सद्यो जज्ञानो नि रिणाति शत्रूननु यं विश्वे मदन्त्यूमाः ॥
That was the chiefest in all worlds, from whence the fierce one, the rich in radiance, was born; assoon as born, he destroys the foes, he in whom all living beings delight.
english translation
वा॒वृ॒धा॒नः शव॑सा॒ भूर्यो॑जा॒: शत्रु॑र्दा॒साय॑ भि॒यसं॑ दधाति । अव्य॑नच्च व्य॒नच्च॒ सस्नि॒ सं ते॑ नवन्त॒ प्रभृ॑ता॒ मदे॑षु ॥ वावृधानः शवसा भूर्योजाः शत्रुर्दासाय भियसं दधाति । अव्यनच्च व्यनच्च सस्नि सं ते नवन्त प्रभृता मदेषु ॥
Waxing in strength, the very powerful, destructive (Indra), implants fear in the Dāsa; both theinanimate and the animate (world) is purified by him. Nourished in your exhilaration (all creatures) are assembled.

त्वे क्रतु॒मपि॑ वृञ्जन्ति॒ विश्वे॒ द्विर्यदे॒ते त्रिर्भव॒न्त्यूमा॑: । स्वा॒दोः स्वादी॑यः स्वा॒दुना॑ सृजा॒ सम॒दः सु मधु॒ मधु॑ना॒भि यो॑धीः ॥ त्वे क्रतुमपि वृञ्जन्ति विश्वे द्विर्यदेते त्रिर्भवन्त्यूमाः । स्वादोः स्वादीयः स्वादुना सृजा समदः सु मधु मधुनाभि योधीः ॥
To you all (worshippers) offer adoration, whether those propitiators be two or three. Combine thatwhich is sweeter than the sweet with sweetness, unite that honey with honey.
english translation
इति॑ चि॒द्धि त्वा॒ धना॒ जय॑न्तं॒ मदे॑मदे अनु॒मद॑न्ति॒ विप्रा॑: । ओजी॑यो धृष्णो स्थि॒रमा त॑नुष्व॒ मा त्वा॑ दभन्यातु॒धाना॑ दु॒रेवा॑: ॥ इति चिद्धि त्वा धना जयन्तं मदेमदे अनुमदन्ति विप्राः । ओजीयो धृष्णो स्थिरमा तनुष्व मा त्वा दभन्यातुधाना दुरेवाः ॥
Verily the pious praise you, (Indra), the giver of wealth in your repeated exhilaration; spread out for usresolute Indra, great and durable (affluence); may the malignant yātudhānas never harm you.

त्वया॑ व॒यं शा॑शद्महे॒ रणे॑षु प्र॒पश्य॑न्तो यु॒धेन्या॑नि॒ भूरि॑ । चो॒दया॑मि त॒ आयु॑धा॒ वचो॑भि॒: सं ते॑ शिशामि॒ ब्रह्म॑णा॒ वयां॑सि ॥ त्वया वयं शाशद्महे रणेषु प्रपश्यन्तो युधेन्यानि भूरि । चोदयामि त आयुधा वचोभिः सं ते शिशामि ब्रह्मणा वयांसि ॥
Through you we destroy (our foes) in battles, beholding the numerous (hosts) which we have to fight; Iurge your weapons with words (of praise), I prepare your viands with a sacred verse.
