न्यू॒३॒॑ षु वाचं॒ प्र म॒हे भ॑रामहे॒ गिर॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ सद॑ने वि॒वस्व॑तः । नू चि॒द्धि रत्नं॑ सस॒तामि॒वावि॑द॒न्न दु॑:ष्टु॒तिर्द्र॑विणो॒देषु॑ शस्यते ॥ न्यू षु वाचं प्र महे भरामहे गिर इन्द्राय सदने विवस्वतः । नू चिद्धि रत्नं ससतामिवाविदन्न दुःष्टुतिर्द्रविणोदेषु शस्यते ॥

sanskrit

We ever offer fitting praise to the mighty Indra, in the dwelling of the worshpper, by which he (the deity) has quickly acquired riches, as (a thief) hastily hastily carried (off the property) of the sleeping. Praise ill expressed is not valued among the munificent.

दु॒रो अश्व॑स्य दु॒र इ॑न्द्र॒ गोर॑सि दु॒रो यव॑स्य॒ वसु॑न इ॒नस्पति॑: । शि॒क्षा॒न॒रः प्र॒दिवो॒ अका॑मकर्शन॒: सखा॒ सखि॑भ्य॒स्तमि॒दं गृ॑णीमसि ॥ दुरो अश्वस्य दुर इन्द्र गोरसि दुरो यवस्य वसुन इनस्पतिः । शिक्षानरः प्रदिवो अकामकर्शनः सखा सखिभ्यस्तमिदं गृणीमसि ॥

You, Indra, are the giver of horses, of cattle, or barley, the master and protector of wealth, the foremost in liberality, (the being) of many days; you disappoint not desires (addressed to you); you are a friend to our friend; such an Indra we praise.

english translation

du॒ro azva॑sya du॒ra i॑ndra॒ gora॑si du॒ro yava॑sya॒ vasu॑na i॒naspati॑: | zi॒kSA॒na॒raH pra॒divo॒ akA॑makarzana॒: sakhA॒ sakhi॑bhya॒stami॒daM gR॑NImasi || duro azvasya dura indra gorasi duro yavasya vasuna inaspatiH | zikSAnaraH pradivo akAmakarzanaH sakhA sakhibhyastamidaM gRNImasi ||

शची॑व इन्द्र पुरुकृद्द्युमत्तम॒ तवेदि॒दम॒भित॑श्चेकिते॒ वसु॑ । अत॑: सं॒गृभ्या॑भिभूत॒ आ भ॑र॒ मा त्वा॑य॒तो ज॑रि॒तुः काम॑मूनयीः ॥ शचीव इन्द्र पुरुकृद्द्युमत्तम तवेदिदमभितश्चेकिते वसु । अतः संगृभ्याभिभूत आ भर मा त्वायतो जरितुः काममूनयीः ॥

Wise and resplendent Indra, the achiever of great deeds, the riches that are spread around are known to be yours; having collected them, victor (over your enemies), bring them to us; disappoint not the expectation of the worshipper who trusts in you.

zacI॑va indra purukRddyumattama॒ tavedi॒dama॒bhita॑zcekite॒ vasu॑ | ata॑: saM॒gRbhyA॑bhibhUta॒ A bha॑ra॒ mA tvA॑ya॒to ja॑ri॒tuH kAma॑mUnayIH || zacIva indra purukRddyumattama tavedidamabhitazcekite vasu | ataH saMgRbhyAbhibhUta A bhara mA tvAyato jarituH kAmamUnayIH ||

ए॒भिर्द्युभि॑: सु॒मना॑ ए॒भिरिन्दु॑भिर्निरुन्धा॒नो अम॑तिं॒ गोभि॑र॒श्विना॑ । इन्द्रे॑ण॒ दस्युं॑ द॒रय॑न्त॒ इन्दु॑भिर्यु॒तद्वे॑षस॒: समि॒षा र॑भेमहि ॥ एभिर्द्युभिः सुमना एभिरिन्दुभिर्निरुन्धानो अमतिं गोभिरश्विना । इन्द्रेण दस्युं दरयन्त इन्दुभिर्युतद्वेषसः समिषा रभेमहि ॥

Propitiated by these offerings, be these libations, dispel poverty with cattle and horses; may we subduing our adversary, and relived from enemies by Indra, (plural ased) by our libations, enjoy together abundant food.

e॒bhirdyubhi॑: su॒manA॑ e॒bhirindu॑bhirnirundhA॒no ama॑tiM॒ gobhi॑ra॒zvinA॑ | indre॑Na॒ dasyuM॑ da॒raya॑nta॒ indu॑bhiryu॒tadve॑Sasa॒: sami॒SA ra॑bhemahi || ebhirdyubhiH sumanA ebhirindubhirnirundhAno amatiM gobhirazvinA | indreNa dasyuM darayanta indubhiryutadveSasaH samiSA rabhemahi ||

समि॑न्द्र रा॒या समि॒षा र॑भेमहि॒ सं वाजे॑भिः पुरुश्च॒न्द्रैर॒भिद्यु॑भिः । सं दे॒व्या प्रम॑त्या वी॒रशु॑ष्मया॒ गोअ॑ग्र॒याश्वा॑वत्या रभेमहि ॥ समिन्द्र राया समिषा रभेमहि सं वाजेभिः पुरुश्चन्द्रैरभिद्युभिः । सं देव्या प्रमत्या वीरशुष्मया गोअग्रयाश्वावत्या रभेमहि ॥

Indra, may we become possessed of riches, and of food; and with energies agreeable to many, and shining around, may we prosper through your divine favour, the source of prowess, of cattle and of horses.
