अ॒न॒र्वाणं॑ वृष॒भं म॒न्द्रजि॑ह्वं॒ बृह॒स्पतिं॑ वर्धया॒ नव्य॑म॒र्कैः । गा॒था॒न्य॑: सु॒रुचो॒ यस्य॑ दे॒वा आ॑शृ॒ण्वन्ति॒ नव॑मानस्य॒ मर्ता॑: ॥ अनर्वाणं वृषभं मन्द्रजिह्वं बृहस्पतिं वर्धया नव्यमर्कैः । गाथान्यः सुरुचो यस्य देवा आशृण्वन्ति नवमानस्य मर्ताः ॥
(Priests), augment by your hymns Bṛhaspati, who deserts not (his worshipper); the showerer (of benefits) the plural asant-tongued, the adorable; of whom resplendent gods and men, (the ministers) of the instrumental tutor of the sacrifice, emulous in sacred songs, proclaim (the praise).

तमृ॒त्विया॒ उप॒ वाच॑: सचन्ते॒ सर्गो॒ न यो दे॑वय॒तामस॑र्जि । बृह॒स्पति॒: स ह्यञ्जो॒ वरां॑सि॒ विभ्वाभ॑व॒त्समृ॒ते मा॑त॒रिश्वा॑ ॥ तमृत्विया उप वाचः सचन्ते सर्गो न यो देवयतामसर्जि । बृहस्पतिः स ह्यञ्जो वरांसि विभ्वाभवत्समृते मातरिश्वा ॥
The hymns of the (rainy) season are addressed to him, who is verily the creator (of the rain), and has granted it (to the prayers) of the devout; for that Bṛhaspati is the manifester (of all), the expansive wind that (dispensing) blessings has been produced for (the diffusion of) water.
english translation
उप॑स्तुतिं॒ नम॑स॒ उद्य॑तिं च॒ श्लोकं॑ यंसत्सवि॒तेव॒ प्र बा॒हू । अ॒स्य क्रत्वा॑ह॒न्यो॒३॒॑ यो अस्ति॑ मृ॒गो न भी॒मो अ॑र॒क्षस॒स्तुवि॑ष्मान् ॥ उपस्तुतिं नमस उद्यतिं च श्लोकं यंसत्सवितेव प्र बाहू । अस्य क्रत्वाहन्यो यो अस्ति मृगो न भीमो अरक्षसस्तुविष्मान् ॥
He is ready (to accept) the offered praise, the presentation of the homage, the hymn, as the sun (is ready) to put forth his rays; by the acts of him whom the rākṣasas (oppose not), the daily (revolving sun) exists, and he is strong as a fearful beast of prey.

अ॒स्य श्लोको॑ दि॒वीय॑ते पृथि॒व्यामत्यो॒ न यं॑सद्यक्ष॒भृद्विचे॑ताः । मृ॒गाणां॒ न हे॒तयो॒ यन्ति॑ चे॒मा बृह॒स्पते॒रहि॑मायाँ अ॒भि द्यून् ॥ अस्य श्लोको दिवीयते पृथिव्यामत्यो न यंसद्यक्षभृद्विचेताः । मृगाणां न हेतयो यन्ति चेमा बृहस्पतेरहिमायाँ अभि द्यून् ॥
The gloryof this Bṛhaspati spreads through heaven and earth like the sun; receiving worship, and giving intelligence, he bestows (the rewards of sacrifice); like the weapons of the hunters, so these (weapons) of Bṛhaspati fall daily upon the workers of guile.

ये त्वा॑ देवोस्रि॒कं मन्य॑मानाः पा॒पा भ॒द्रमु॑प॒जीव॑न्ति प॒ज्राः । न दू॒ढ्ये॒३॒॑ अनु॑ ददासि वा॒मं बृह॑स्पते॒ चय॑स॒ इत्पिया॑रुम् ॥ ये त्वा देवोस्रिकं मन्यमानाः पापा भद्रमुपजीवन्ति पज्राः । न दूढ्ये अनु ददासि वामं बृहस्पते चयस इत्पियारुम् ॥
Divine Bṛhaspati, you do not bestow desired (wealth) upon those stupid (men), who, sinful and mean subsist, considering you, who are auspicious, as an old ox; but you favour him who offers (you) libations.
