कृते विवाहे तु तदा धर्मपुत्रॊ युधिष्ठिरः बराह्मणेभ्यॊ ददौ वित्तं यद उपाहरद अच्युतः ॥ ४-६७-३६ ॥

‘Having duly poured libations of clarified butter into the blazing sacrificial fire and paid homage to the twice-born (Brahmanas), Virata offered to the Pandavas his kingdom, his army, his treasury, and even himself. After the marriage had taken place, Yudhishthira, the son of Dharma, generously distributed to the Brahmanas all the wealth that had been brought by the glorious Krishna.’ ॥ 4-67-36 ॥

kRte vivAhe tu tadA dharmaputrò yudhiSThiraH barAhmaNebhyò dadau vittaM yada upAharada acyutaH ॥ 4-67-36 ॥

गॊसहस्राणि रत्नानि वस्त्राणि विविधानि च भूषणानि च मुख्यानि यानानि शयनानि च ॥ ४-६७-३७ ॥

‘He also gave away thousands of cows, diverse kinds of garments, and many excellent ornaments, as well as vehicles and beds, delicious foods of various kinds, and fine drinks of every sort.’ ॥ 4-67-37 ॥

gòsahasrANi ratnAni vastrANi vividhAni ca bhUSaNAni ca mukhyAni yAnAni zayanAni ca ॥ 4-67-37 ॥

तन महॊत्सव संकाशं हृष्टपुष्ट जनावृतम नगरं मत्स्यराजस्य शुशुभे भरतर्षभ ॥ ४-६७-३८ ॥

‘And, O bull of the Bharata race, the city of the Matsya king, filled with cheerful and well-fed people, shone brilliantly like a grand festival.’ ॥ 4-67-38 ॥

tana mahòtsava saMkAzaM hRSTapuSTa janAvRtama nagaraM matsyarAjasya zuzubhe bharatarSabha ॥ 4-67-38 ॥
