यश चासीद अश्वबन्धस ते नकुलॊ ऽयं परंतपः गॊसंख्यः सहदेवश च माद्रीपुत्रौ महारथौ ।। ४-६६-६ ।।

‘He who tended thy horses is none other than Nakula, the slayer of foes, and this one is Sahadeva, the keeper of thy kine. Both sons of Madri are mighty car-warriors, famed for their valor and beauty.’ ।। 4-66-6 ।।

yaza cAsIda azvabandhasa te nakulò 'yaM paraMtapaH gòsaMkhyaH sahadevaza ca mAdrIputrau mahArathau || 4-66-6 ||

शृङ्गारवेषाभरणौ रूपवन्तौ यशस्विनौ नाना रथसहस्राणां समर्थौ पुरुषर्षभौ ।। ४-६६-७ ।।

‘These two bulls of the Bharata race, attired in splendid robes and adorned with exquisite ornaments, are a match for a thousand formidable car-warriors.’ ।। 4-66-7 ।।

एषा पद्मपलाशाक्षी सुमध्या चारुहासिनी सैरन्ध्री दरौपदी राजन यत्कृते कीचका हताः ।। ४-६६-८ ।।

‘And even this lady, with eyes like lotus petals, a slender waist, and a sweet, charming smile, is Draupadi, thy wife Sairindhri, by whose hand the wicked Kichakas were slain, O king.’ ।। 4-66-8 ।।

‘I am Arjuna, the son of Pritha, as thou hast doubtless heard, junior to Bhima and elder of the twins.’ ।। 4-66-9 ।।
