इदं च राज्यं नः पार्था यच चान्यद वसु किं चन परतिगृह्णन्तु सत सर्वं कौन्तेया अविशङ्कया ।। ४-६६-२६ ।।

‘I make over my entire kingdom to the noble sons of Pritha, along with all else that I possess. Let the illustrious sons of Pandu accept it all without the slightest hesitation.’ ।। 4-66-26 ।।

english translation

idaM ca rAjyaM naH pArthA yaca cAnyada vasu kiM cana paratigRhNantu sata sarvaM kaunteyA avizaGkayA || 4-66-26 ||

उत्तरां परतिगृह्णातु सव्यसाची धनंजयः अयं हय औपयिकॊ भर्ता तस्याः पुरुषसत्तमः ।। ४-६६-२७ ।।

‘And let Dhananjaya, called Savyasachi, accept the hand of Uttara; for this foremost of men is truly worthy to be her lord.’ ।। 4-66-27 ।।

english translation

uttarAM paratigRhNAtu savyasAcI dhanaMjayaH ayaM haya aupayikò bhartA tasyAH puruSasattamaH || 4-66-27 ||

एवम उक्तॊ धर्मराजः पार्थम ऐक्षद धनंजयम ईक्षितश चार्जुनॊ भरात्रा मत्स्यं वचनम अब्रवीत ।। ४-६६-२८ ।।

‘Thus addressed, the just king Yudhishthira cast a meaningful glance upon Dhananjaya, the son of Pritha. Receiving his brother’s silent approval, Arjuna then spoke to the king of the Matsyas:’ ।। 4-66-28 ।।

evama uktò dharmarAjaH pArthama aikSada dhanaMjayama IkSitaza cArjunò bharAtrA matsyaM vacanama abravIta || 4-66-28 ||

परतिगृह्णाम्य अहं राजन सनुषां दुहितरं तव युक्तश चावां हि संबन्धॊ मत्स्यभारतसत्तमौ ।। ४-६६-२९ ।।

‘O mighty monarch, I accept thy daughter, Uttara, as my daughter-in-law. Indeed, an alliance of this kind between the Matsyas and the Bharatas is most fitting and greatly to be desired.’ ।। 4-66-29 ।।

paratigRhNAmya ahaM rAjana sanuSAM duhitaraM tava yuktaza cAvAM hi saMbandhò matsyabhAratasattamau || 4-66-29 ||
