आचख्युस तस्य संहृष्टाः सत्रियः कन्याश च वेश्मनि अन्तःपुर चराश चैव कुरुभिर गॊधनं हृतम ॥ ४-६३-६ ॥
'The women and maidens of the palace, along with the other ladies of the inner apartments, joyfully replied, 'Our cattle having been seized by the Kurus.'' ॥ 4-63-6 ॥
english translation
विजेतुम अभिसंरब्ध एक एवाति साहसात बृहन्नडा सहायश च निर्यातः पृथिवीं जयः ॥ ४-६३-७ ॥
'Bhuminjaya, roused by this and full of valor, has gone forth alone, with only Vrihannala as his companion, to confront and vanquish the six mighty warriors.' ॥ 4-63-7 ॥
english translation
उपयातान अति रथान दरॊणं शांतनवं कृपम कर्णं दुर्यॊधनं चैव दरॊणपुत्रं च षड रथान ॥ ४-६३-८ ॥
'He approached, confronting six mighty chariots: Drona, Santanu’s grandson (Bhishma), Karna, Duryodhana, and Drona’s son, all prepared for battle.' ॥ 4-63-8 ॥

राजा विराटॊ ऽथ भृशं परतप्तः; शरुत्वा सुतं हय एकरथेन यातम बृहन्नडा सारथिम आजिवर्धनं; परॊवाच सर्वान अथ मन्त्रिमुख्यान ॥ ४-६३-९ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, 'Then King Virata, learning that his brave son had gone forth with but a single chariot, with Vrihannala as his driver, was filled with deep concern. Addressing his chief counsellors, he said .' ॥ 4-63-9 ॥

सर्वथा कुरवस ते हि ये चान्ये वसुधाधिपाः तरिगर्तान निर्जिताञ शरुत्वा न सथास्यन्ति कदा चन ॥ ४-६३-१० ॥
'Surely the Kauravas and the other rulers of the earth, hearing of the Trigartas’ defeat, will not stand their ground.' ॥ 4-63-10 ॥
