[वै] तस्य ताम अभयां वाचं शरुत्वा यॊधाः समागताः आयुः कीर्तियशॊ दाभिस तम आशिर भिर अनन्दयन ।। ४-६२-६ ।।

sanskrit

'Vaisampayana continued, ‘Hearing these words of assurance, the assembled warriors greeted him with prayers, praising his fame and achievements and wishing him long life.'' ।। 4-62-6 ।।

english translation

[vai] tasya tAma abhayAM vAcaM zarutvA yòdhAH samAgatAH AyuH kIrtiyazò dAbhisa tama Azira bhira anandayana || 4-62-6 ||

And the Kauravas, unable to face him, fled as Arjuna advanced toward the city of Virata, like an elephant with shattered temples. Having routed the entire Kuru army, scattering them like clouds driven by a fierce wind, that slayer of foes, Partha, respectfully addressed the prince of Matsya and said—

राजपुत्र परत्यवेक्ष समानीतानि सर्वशः गॊकुलानि महाबाहॊ वीर गॊपालकैः सह ।। ४-६२-८ ।।

sanskrit

'O prince, having looked around completely, all the cow-herds/cattle settlements have been brought together, O mighty-armed one, along with the brave cowherds/gopas." ' ।। 4-62-8 ।।

ततॊ ऽहराह्णे यास्यामॊ विराटनगरं परति आश्वास्य पाययित्वा च परिप्लाव्य च वाजिनः ।। ४-६२-९ ।।

sanskrit

'O prince, O mighty-armed hero, once we have tended the steeds with water and a bath, and the kine have been brought forward by the cowherds, we shall enter the city of Virata in the afternoon.' ।। 4-62-9 ।।

tatò 'harAhNe yAsyAmò virATanagaraM parati AzvAsya pAyayitvA ca pariplAvya ca vAjinaH || 4-62-9 ||
