समाहितॊ हि बीभत्सुर वर्षाण्य अष्टौ च पञ्च च जातस्नेहश च युद्धस्य मयि संप्रहरिष्यति ॥ ४-४३-६ ॥
'Having performed ascetic austerities for the past thirteen years, Vibhatsu will engage me gently in this battle.' ॥ 4-43-6 ॥
english translation
पात्री भूतश च कौन्तेयॊ बराह्मणॊ गुणवान इव शरौघान परतिगृह्णातु मया मुक्तान सहस्रशः ॥ ४-४३-७ ॥
'The son of Kunti, having become a Brahmana endowed with virtues, is now suited to quietly receive thousands of arrows shot by me.' ॥ 4-43-7 ॥
english translation
एष चैव महेष्वासस तरिषु लॊकेषु विश्रुतः अहं चापि कुरुश्रेष्ठा अर्जुनान नावरः कव चित ॥ ४-४३-८ ॥
'This mighty archer is indeed renowned throughout the three worlds. Yet I am by no means inferior to Arjuna, the foremost among men.' ॥ 4-43-8 ॥
english translation
इतश चेतश च निर्मुक्तैः काञ्चनैर गार्ध्रवाजितैः दृश्यताम अद्य वै वयॊम खद्यॊतैर इव संवृतम ॥ ४-४३-९ ॥
'With golden arrows tipped with vulture-like wings shot in all directions, let the sky today seem filled with fireflies.' ॥ 4-43-9 ॥

अद्याहम ऋणम अक्षय्यं पुरा वाचा परतिश्रुतम धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दास्यामि निहत्य समरे ऽरजुनम ॥ ४-४३-१० ॥
'By slaying Arjuna in battle, I shall repay today the difficult debt long promised by me to Dhritarashtra’s son.' ॥ 4-43-10 ॥
