जामदग्न्यान मया हय अस्त्रं यत पराप्तम ऋषिसत्तमात तद उपाश्रित्य वीर्यं च युध्येयम अपि वासवम ॥ ४-४३-१६ ॥
'Having obtained weapons from the great ascetic Jamadagni, I shall, relying on their power, fight even the celestials themselves.' ॥ 4-43-16 ॥

धवजाग्रे वानरस तिष्ठन भल्लेन निहतॊ मया अद्यैव पततां भूमौ विनदन भैरवान रवान ॥ ४-४३-१७ ॥
'Struck by my javelin, the ape perched atop his banner shall fall to the ground today, crying out in agony.' ॥ 4-43-17 ॥

शत्रॊर मयाभिपन्नानां भूतानां धवजवासिनाम दिशः परतिष्ठमानानाम अस्तु शब्दॊ दिवं गतः ॥ ४-४३-१८ ॥
'The heavens will resound with the cries of the superhuman beings stationed on the enemy’s flagstaff, and, struck by me, they will scatter in all directions.' ॥ 4-43-18 ॥

अद्य दुर्यॊधनस्याहं शल्यं हृदि चिरस्थितम स मूलम उद्धरिष्यामि बीभत्सुं पातयन रथात ॥ ४-४३-१९ ॥
'Today, I will uproot the long-standing thorn in Duryodhana’s heart by casting Arjuna down from his chariot.' ॥ 4-43-19 ॥

हताश्वं विरथं पार्थं पौरुषे पर्यवस्थितम निःश्वसन्तं यथा नागम अद्य पश्यन्तु कौरवाः ॥ ४-४३-२० ॥
'The Kauravas shall witness Partha with his chariot shattered, his horses slain, his valor diminished, and himself sighing like a serpent.' ॥ 4-43-20 ॥
