कस्य हेममये कॊशे सुतप्ते पावकप्रभे निस्त्रिंशॊ ऽयं गुरुः पीतः सैक्यः परमनिर्व्रणः ॥ ४-३८-३४ ॥

sanskrit

'Whose is this heavy, well-tempered, broad-bladed sword—just a little longer than the width of thirty fingers—its edge burnished by repeated clashes with other weapons, sheathed in a golden scabbard and gleaming like fire?' ॥ 4-38-34 ॥

english translation

kasya hemamaye kòze sutapte pAvakaprabhe nistriMzò 'yaM guruH pItaH saikyaH paramanirvraNaH ॥ 4-38-34 ॥
