नातिदूरम अथॊ यात्वा मत्स्यपुत्र धनंजयौ अवेक्षेताम अमित्रघ्नौ कुरूणां बलिनां बलम शमशानम अभितॊ गत्वा आससाद कुरून अथ ॥ ४-३६-४ ॥
'They had not gone far when those slayers of foes—Dhananjaya (Arjuna) and the prince of Matsya—caught sight of the mighty army of the Kurus. Proceeding toward the cremation ground, they came upon the Kauravas and beheld their forces already drawn up in battle array.' ॥ 4-36-4 ॥
