[वै] याते तरिगर्तं मत्स्ये तु पशूंस तान सवान परीप्सति दुर्यॊधनः सहामात्यॊ विराटम उपयाद अथ ॥ ४-३३-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana said: When the king of the Matsyas, eager to recover his cattle, had departed in pursuit of the Trigartas, Duryodhana, accompanied by his counsellors, invaded the dominion of Virata.' ॥ 4-33-1 ॥

[vai] yAte tarigartaM matsye tu pazUMsa tAna savAna parIpsati duryòdhanaH sahAmAtyò virATama upayAda atha ॥ 4-33-1 ॥
