अथ वा नेह हन्तव्या दह्यतां कामिना सह मृतस्यापि परियं कार्यं सूतपुत्रस्य सर्वथा ॥ ४-२२-६ ॥
'Or if not slain here, let her be burned along with him who desired her. Surely, we must fulfill the wishes of the departed son of the Suta in every possible way.’' ॥ 4-22-6 ॥
english translation
ततॊ विराटम ऊचुस ते कीचकॊ ऽसयाः कृते हतः सहाद्यानेन दह्येत तदनुज्ञातुम अर्हसि ॥ ४-२२-७ ॥
'Then they turned to King Virata and said, ‘It is for her sake that Kichaka has met his end. Let him, therefore, be cremated along with her. It befits you to grant this permission.’' ॥ 4-22-7 ॥

पराक्रमं तु सूतानां मत्वा राजान्वमॊदत सैरन्ध्र्याः सूतपुत्रेण सह दाहं विशां पते ॥ ४-२२-८ ॥
'Thus addressed, King Virata—aware of the influence and power of the Sutas—gave his consent for Sairindhri to be burned along with the Suta’s son.' ॥ 4-22-8 ॥

तां समासाद्य वित्रस्तां कृष्णां कमललॊचनाम मॊमुह्यमानां ते तत्र जगृहुः कीचका भृशम ॥ ४-२२-९ ॥
'At this, the Kichakas, approaching Krishna of lotus-like eyes—frightened and stunned—seized her by force.' ॥ 4-22-9 ॥

ततस तु तां समारॊप्य निबध्य च सुमध्यमाम जग्मुर उद्यम्य ते सर्वे शमशानम अभितस तदा ॥ ४-२२-१० ॥
'And binding that slender-waisted maiden and placing her upon the bier, they set out with great urgency toward the cremation ground.' ॥ 4-22-10 ॥
