न दैवस्याति भारॊ ऽसति न दैवस्याति वर्तनम इति चाप्य आगमं भूयॊ दैवस्य परतिपालये ॥ ४-१९-६ ॥
'Nothing is too difficult for Destiny, and no one can surpass its course. It is with this faith that I await the return of good fortune.' ॥ 4-19-6 ॥
english translation
na daivasyAti bhArò 'sati na daivasyAti vartanama iti cApya AgamaM bhUyò daivasya paratipAlaye ॥ 4-19-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसथितं पूर्वं जलं यत्र पुनस तत्रैव तिष्ठति इति पर्यायम इच्छन्ती परतीक्षाम्य उदयं पुनः ॥ ४-१९-७ ॥
'Just as a dried-up tank fills again with water, so too do I wait in hope for prosperity to rise once more.' ॥ 4-19-7 ॥
english translation
sathitaM pUrvaM jalaM yatra punasa tatraiva tiSThati iti paryAyama icchantI paratIkSAmya udayaM punaH ॥ 4-19-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदैवेन किल यस्यार्थः सुनीतॊ ऽपि विपद्यते दैवस्य चागमे यत्नस तेन कार्यॊ विजानता ॥ ४-१९-८ ॥
'When an endeavour, though wisely and fully prepared, meets with failure, a truly discerning soul should not strain to reverse it by force.' ॥ 4-19-8 ॥
english translation
daivena kila yasyArthaH sunItò 'pi vipadyate daivasya cAgame yatnasa tena kAryò vijAnatA ॥ 4-19-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयत तु मे वचनस्यास्य कथितस्य परयॊजनम पृच्छ मां दुःखितां तत तवम अपृष्टा वा बरवीमि ते ॥ ४-१९-९ ॥
'Now plunged in sorrow, and whether you ask or not, I shall tell you plainly the intent behind my words.' ॥ 4-19-9 ॥

yata tu me vacanasyAsya kathitasya parayòjanama pRccha mAM duHkhitAM tata tavama apRSTA vA baravImi te ॥ 4-19-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहिषी पाण्डुपुत्राणां दुहिता दरुपदस्य च इमाम अवस्थां संप्राप्ता का मद अन्या जिजीविषेत ॥ ४-१९-१० ॥
'I am the queen of the sons of Pandu, the daughter of mighty Drupada— what other woman, but me, would choose to live after falling to such disgrace?' ॥ 4-19-10 ॥

mahiSI pANDuputrANAM duhitA darupadasya ca imAma avasthAM saMprAptA kA mada anyA jijIviSeta ॥ 4-19-10 ॥
