स हय अक्षहृदयज्ञस तान करीडयाम आस पाण्डवः अक्षवत्यां यथाकामं सूत्रबद्धान इव दविजान ॥ ४-१२-४ ॥

sanskrit

'Skilled in the mysteries of dice, the son of Pāṇḍu would make them play at his will, arranging them in the gaming hall like birds strung together on a thread.' ॥ 4-12-4 ॥

english translation

sa haya akSahRdayajJasa tAna karIDayAma Asa pANDavaH akSavatyAM yathAkAmaM sUtrabaddhAna iva davijAna ॥ 4-12-4 ॥
