स साधु कौन्तेय इतॊ वासम अर्जुन रॊचय यत्रेमा वसतीः सर्वा वसेमाविदिताः परैः ॥ ४-१-६ ॥
'Therefore, O Arjuna, son of Kunti, choose a place where we may dwell in secrecy, unseen by our foes.' ॥ 4-1-6 ॥
english translation
तस्यैव वरदानेन धर्मस्य मनुजाधिप अज्ञाता विचरिष्यामॊ नराणा भरतर्षभ ॥ ४-१-७ ॥
'Arjuna replied, "Indeed, O lord of men, by the boon granted by Dharma, we shall remain unrecognised as we move among men."' ॥ 4-1-7 ॥

किं तु वासाय राष्ट्राणि कीर्तयिष्यामि कानि चित रमणीयानि गुप्तानि तेषां किं चित सम रॊचय ॥ ४-१-८ ॥
'Yet, for our dwelling, I shall suggest some places that are both pleasing and well-hidden. Do thou, O king, select one among them.' ॥ 4-1-8 ॥

सन्ति रम्या जनपदा बह्व अन्नाः परितः कुरून पाञ्चालाश चेदिमत्स्याश च शूरसेनाः पटच्चराः दशार्णा नव राष्ट्रं च मल्लाः शाल्व युगंधराः ॥ ४-१-९ ॥
'Around the kingdom of the Kurus lie many lands—beautiful, fertile, and rich in grain—such as Panchala, Chedi, Matsya, Surasena, Pattachchara, Dasarna, Navarashtra, Malla, Salva, Yugandhara, Saurashtra, Avanti, and the broad dominion of Kuntirashtra.' ॥ 4-1-9 ॥

एतेषां कतमॊ राजन निवासस तव रॊचते वत्स्यामॊ यत्र राजेन्द्र संवत्सरम इमं वयम ॥ ४-१-१० ॥
'O king, which of these regions pleases thee for our residence? Where, O lord of kings, shall we dwell for this year?' ॥ 4-1-10 ॥
