मुहुर मुहुः परनदतस तस्य शङ्खस्य भारत उत्तमं शब्दम अश्रौषं ततॊ रॊमाणि मे ऽहृषन ॥ २-४५-३१ ॥
'O Bharata, I heard the conches being blown almost incessantly, and the sound of those notes made my hair stand on end.' ॥ 2-45-31 ॥
english translation
muhura muhuH paranadatasa tasya zaGkhasya bhArata uttamaM zabdama azrauSaM tatò ròmANi me 'hRSana ॥ 2-45-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपार्थिवैर बहुभिः कीर्णम उपस्थानं दिदृक्षुभिः सर्वरत्नान्य उपादाय पार्थिवा वै जनेश्वर ॥ २-४५-३२ ॥
'O great king, the grand palace, filled with countless monarchs who came as spectators, appeared exceptionally splendid, resembling the starry sky on a clear night. And, O sovereign of men, these kings arrived at the sacrifice of the wise son of Pandu, bringing with them all kinds of wealth.' ॥ 2-45-32 ॥

pArthivaira bahubhiH kIrNama upasthAnaM didRkSubhiH sarvaratnAnya upAdAya pArthivA vai janezvara ॥ 2-45-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयज्ञे तस्य महाराज पाण्डुपुत्रस्य धीमतः वैश्या इव महीपाला दविजातिपरिवेषकाः ॥ २-४५-३३ ॥
'The kings who came there acted like Vaisyas, distributing food to the Brahmins who were being fed.' ॥ 2-45-33 ॥
english translation
yajJe tasya mahArAja pANDuputrasya dhImataH vaizyA iva mahIpAlA davijAtipariveSakAH ॥ 2-45-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन सा शरीर देवराजस्य यमस्य वरुणस्य वा गुह्यकाधिपतेर वापि या शरीराजन युधिष्ठिरे ॥ २-४५-३४ ॥
'O king, the prosperity of Yudhishthira was such that neither Indra, Yama, Varuna, nor even the lord of the Guhyakas could compare with it.' ॥ 2-45-34 ॥
english translation
na sA zarIra devarAjasya yamasya varuNasya vA guhyakAdhipatera vApi yA zarIrAjana yudhiSThire ॥ 2-45-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतां दृष्ट्वा पाण्डुपुत्रस्य शरियं परमिकाम अहम शान्तिं न परिगच्छामि दह्यमानेन चेतसा ॥ २-४५-३५ ॥
'Witnessing the immense fortune of the son of Pandu, my heart burns with envy, and I cannot find peace.' ॥ 2-45-35 ॥

tAM dRSTvA pANDuputrasya zariyaM paramikAma ahama zAntiM na parigacchAmi dahyamAnena cetasA ॥ 2-45-35 ॥
