'Vaisampayana said: "O king, impressed by the grandeur of Yudhishthira’s Rajasuya sacrifice, Sakuni, the son of Suvala, understanding Duryodhana's intentions and eager to speak favorably to him.' ।। 2-45-1 ।।
'Sakuni, the son of Suvala, knowing the mind and intentions of Duryodhana beforehand, approached Dhritarashtra, who was endowed with wisdom and seated in his throne but deprived of sight, and spoke to him.' ।। 2-45-2 ।।
'Know, O great king, O bull of the Bharata race, that Duryodhana, having lost his color, has become pale, emaciated, and deeply distressed, consumed by anxiety.' ।। 2-45-4 ।।
