'Sisupala said, "O Kuru prince, this Vrishni does not deserve royal honors among these illustrious monarchs. O son of Pandu, your act of honoring him with such reverence is unbecoming of the Pandavas, who are celebrated for their noble conduct."' ।। 2-34-1 ।।
'Sisupala continued, "This conduct is not proper towards the noble-souled Pandavas, That out of desire, you have worshipped the lotus-eyed one (Krishna)."' ।। 2-34-2 ।।
बाला यूयं न जानीध्वं धर्मः सूक्ष्मॊ हि पाण्डवाः अयं तत्राभ्यतिक्रान्त आपगेयॊ ऽलपदर्शनः ।। २-३४-३ ।।
'Sisupala said, "You are young and do not grasp the subtle nature of Dharma, O Pandavas. This one among you has transgressed the bounds of propriety and acted improperly in this assembly."' ।। 2-34-3 ।।
'Sisupala continued, "Even one as virtuous as Bhishma, if motivated by personal gain, becomes deserving of reproach among the honorable and the wise."' ।। 2-34-4 ।।
कथं हय अराजा दाशार्हॊ मध्ये सर्वमहीक्षिताम अर्हणाम अर्हति तथा यथा युष्माभिर अर्चितः ।। २-३४-५ ।।
'Sisupala challenged, "How can Krishna of the Dasarha race, who is not a king, receive worship in the presence of these great kings? How is it that he has been honored by you?"' ।। 2-34-5 ।।
