एकपादांश च पुरुषान केवलान वनवासिनः नगरीं संजयन्तीं च पिच्छण्डं करहाटकम दूतैर एव वशे चक्रे करं चैनान अदापयत ।। २-२८-४७ ।।
'The high-souled warrior, having subdued King Timingila, also conquered the one-legged forest-dwelling tribe known as the Kerakas. The son of Pandu further subdued the town of Sanjayanti, and the regions of Pashanda and Karahataka through his messengers alone, compelling all of them to pay tribute.' ।। 2-28-47 ।।

'The hero brought under his control and exacted tribute from the Pandyas, Dravidas, Udrakeralas, Andhras, Talavanas, Kalingas, Ushtrakarnikas.' ।। 2-28-48 ।।
अन्ताखीं चैव रॊमां च यवनानां पुरं तथा दूतैर एव वशे चक्रे करं चैनान अदापयत ।। २-२८-४९ ।।
'He also subdued the charming cities of Atavi and the Yavanas. Through his messengers, he brought these regions under his control and made them pay tribute.' ।। 2-28-49 ।।
