स चास्य परतिजग्राह शासनं परीतिपूर्वकम तच च कालकृतं धीमान अन्वमन्यत स परभुः ॥ २-२८-५१ ॥
'And he (Vibhishana) received his message with affection. And that wise lord considered it timely.' ॥ 2-28-51 ॥
english translation
ततः संप्रेषयाम आस रत्नानि विविधानि च चन्दनागुरुमुख्यानि दिव्यान्य आभरणानि च ॥ २-२८-५२ ॥
'He sent various kinds of jewels, gems, sandalwood, and other precious materials, along with celestial ornaments.' ॥ 2-28-52 ॥
english translation
वासांसि च महार्हाणि मणींश चैव महाधनान नयवर्तत ततॊ धीमान सहदेवः परतापवान ॥ २-२८-५३ ॥
'He also sent costly apparel, and valuable pearls to Sahadeva. The wise Sahadeva received all these gifts graciously and then returned to his kingdom.' ॥ 2-28-53 ॥

एवं निर्जित्य तरसा सान्त्वेन विजयेन च करदान पार्थिवान कृत्वा परत्यागच्छद अरिंदमः ॥ २-२८-५४ ॥
'Thus, O king, the vanquisher of all foes, having subdued numerous kings through both conciliation and combat and made them pay tribute, returned to his city.' ॥ 2-28-54 ॥

धर्मराजाय तत सर्वं निवेद्य भरतर्षभ कृतकर्मा सुखं राजन्न उवास जनमेजय ॥ २-२८-५५ ॥
'The illustrious son of the Bharata race, after presenting all the wealth to King Yudhishthira the just, considered himself successful and lived happily thereafter.' ॥ 2-28-55 ॥
