एवं निर्जित्य तरसा सान्त्वेन विजयेन च करदान पार्थिवान कृत्वा परत्यागच्छद अरिंदमः ॥ २-२८-५४ ॥
'Thus, O king, the vanquisher of all foes, having subdued numerous kings through both conciliation and combat and made them pay tribute, returned to his city.' ॥ 2-28-54 ॥

evaM nirjitya tarasA sAntvena vijayena ca karadAna pArthivAna kRtvA paratyAgacchada ariMdamaH ॥ 2-28-54 ॥
