अन्ताखीं चैव रॊमां च यवनानां पुरं तथा दूतैर एव वशे चक्रे करं चैनान अदापयत ॥ २-२८-४९ ॥
'He also subdued the charming cities of Atavi and the Yavanas. Through his messengers, he brought these regions under his control and made them pay tribute.' ॥ 2-28-49 ॥
english translation
antAkhIM caiva ròmAM ca yavanAnAM puraM tathA dUtaira eva vaze cakre karaM cainAna adApayata ॥ 2-28-49 ॥
