न चानुपायेनार्थान् साधयेदायतिसंरक्षणार्थम् ॥ ६ ॥

नित्यमलङ्कारयोगिनी राजमार्गावलोकिनी दृश्यमाना न चातिविवृता तिष्ठेत् । पण्यसधर्मत्वात् ॥ ७ ॥
She must always be elegantly attired so as to attract the attention of those who look at her while passing along the royal road. But she should not show herself off shamelessly, since it would diminish her market value by half.

रहन-सहन वेश्या को चाहिये कि सदैव सजी सैंवरी रहे, सड़क की ओर देखती रहे, ऐसे स्थान पर बैठे कि सबको सरलता में दिखती रहे, लेकिन अत्यधिक खुली होकर न बैठे, क्योंकि वह बाजार में बिकने वाली वस्तु जैसी ही है ॥ ७ ॥

यैर्नायकमावर्जयेदन्याभ्यश्चावच्छिन्द्यादात्मनश्चानर्थं प्रतिकुर्यादर्थं च साधयेत्र च गम्यैः परिभूयेत तान् सहायान् कुर्यात् ॥ ८ ॥
She must engage a pimp [sahaya], who knows how to recruit customers, draw them away from the other girls, is not coarse, and knows how to ward off trouble.

वेश्याओं के सहायक – वेश्याओं को अपना सहायक उन लोगों को बनाना चाहिये जो नायक को अपनी ओर आकृष्ट कर सकें, दूसरी वेश्या से नायकों को विरत कर दें, वेश्याओं पर आये अनर्थों को दूर कर दें, उसका प्रयोजन सिद्ध कर दें और जिन्हें वेश्यानायक दबा न सकें ॥८॥

ते त्वारक्षकपुरुषा धर्माधिकरणस्था दैवज्ञा विक्रान्ताः शूराः समानविद्याः कलाग्राहिणः पीठमर्दविटविदूषकमालाकारगान्धिकशौण्डिकरजकनापितभिक्षु- कास्ते च ते च कार्ययोगात् ॥ ९ ॥
This kind of occupation is suitable for an official, a man of law [lawyer, etc.], an astrologer. He should be enterprising, courageous, with an average education, and know the arts. Others may include administrators [pithamarda], gigolos [vita], entertainers [vidushaka], florists, liquor merchants, laundrymen, barbers, mendicant monks, unemployed men, or other such people.

वेश्या की रक्षा करने वाला शासकीय अधिकारी, वकील, ज्योतिषी, साहसी, शूरवीर, वेश्या के समान ही कलाकुशल, कला सीखने वाला, पीठमर्द, विदूषक, मालाकार, गन्धी, मंदिरा-विक्रेता, धोबी, नाई, भिखारी और ऐसे ही अन्य पुरुष, जो उसे सहायता दे सकें, उसके सहायक बन सकते हैं ॥ ९ ॥

केवलार्यास्त्वमी गम्याः - स्वतन्त्रः पूर्वे वयसि वर्तमानो वित्तवानपरोक्षवृत्तिरधिकरणवानकृच्छ्राधिगतवित्तः । सङ्घर्षवान् सन्ततायः सुभगमानी श्लाघनकः षण्डकश्च पुंशब्दार्थी समानस्पर्धी स्वभावतस्त्यागी राजनि महामात्रे वा सिद्धो दैवप्रमाणो वित्तावमानी गुरूणां शासनातिगः सजातानां लक्ष्यभूतः सवित्त एकपुत्रो लिङ्गी प्रच्छन्नकामः शूरो वैद्यश्चेति ॥ १० ॥
She should only sleep with a man if he is rich, independent, having inherited from his ancestors and with available goods, with access to hidden treasures, or having enriched himself by his own efforts, a financier, a vain man who loves flattery, someone attempting to appear virile because he is impotent, a natural spendthrift, someone on good terms with the king and the ministers, a believer in the stars, not mean, free from parental control, belonging to one of the foremost families, ambitious, a rich only son, a religious playing an underhand game, a man renowned for his great deeds, a physician.

धन के लिये मिलने योग्य पुरुष वेश्या इन व्यक्तियों से धन के लिये सम्बन्ध स्थापित करती है— जो पारिवारिक बन्धनों से पूर्णतः मुक्त हो, जो तरुण हो, धनवान् हो और तत्काल खर्च कर सके, जिसके पास अत्यधिक पैतृक सम्पदा हो, जो स्वयं न कमाकर दूसरों की कमाई खर्च करता हो, जो अन्य वेश्यागामियों से प्रतिद्वन्द्विता रखता हो, जो अपने रूप, सौन्दर्य और सम्पत्ति का अभिमान रखता हो, जो नपुंसक होकर भी अपने को समर्थ पुरुष समझता हो, जो दानशील हो, जो राजा या उसके राजपुरुषों पर अपना प्रभाव रखता हो, जो प्रख्यात ज्योतिषी, चरित्रहीन, माता पिता का इकलौता बेटा, प्रच्छन्नकाम संन्यासी, शूरवीर और वैद्य हो ॥ १० ॥
