स्वाभाविकमात्मनो भवनसन्निकर्षे प्रायत्निकं मित्त्रज्ञातिमहामात्रवैद्यभवनसन्निकर्षे विवाहयज्ञोत्सवव्यसनोद्यानगमनादिषु ॥ ६ ॥
Occasional meetings take place near her own house. When arranged, they take place in the dwelling of a friend, an acquaintance, a teacher, a doctor, at weddings, religious ceremonies, archery, or walks in the gardens.

अपने भवन के निकट आती-जाती नायिका को देख लेना स्वाभाविक दर्शन है। मित्र, जाति, महामन्त्री और वैद्य के घर के निकट अथवा विवाह, उत्सव, यज्ञ, दुःख (सङ्कट), वनविहार (पिकनिक) आदि में देखना प्रायत्निक है ॥ ६ ॥

दर्शने चास्याः सततं साकारं प्रेक्षणं केशसंयमनं नखाच्छुरणमाभरणप्रह्लादनमधरौष्ठविमर्दनं तास्ताश्च लीला वयस्यैः सह प्रेक्षमाणायास्तत्सम्बद्धाः परापदेशिन्यश्च कथास्त्यागोपभोगप्रकाशनं सख्युरुत्सङ्गनिषण्णस्य साङ्गभङ्गं जृम्भणमेकभूक्षेपणं मन्दवाक्यता तद्वाक्यश्रवणं तामुद्दिश्य बालेनान्यजनेन वा सहान्योपदिष्टा द्वपर्धा कथा तस्यां स्वयं मनोरथावेदनमन्यापदेशेन तामेवोद्दिश्य बालचुम्बनमालिङ्गनं च जिह्वया चास्य ताम्बूलदानं प्रदेशिन्या हनुदेशघट्टनं तत्तद्यथायोगं यथावकाशं च प्रयोक्तव्यम् ॥ ७ ॥
To understand a woman's mentality, her behavior must be studied constantly: the way she undoes her hair, cuts her nails, adorns herself with jewels, bites her lower lip. It is by studying all these attitudes that one learns to know her. One should also listen to what her kin say about her; the gifts she receives; whether she sits on a friend's knees; whether she sometimes interrupts a conversation by yawning with a frown; whether she quietly gives advice to those listening to her; whether, out of a spirit of contradiction, she says the opposite when a young man says something, just to please herself; whether she lets the boys kiss her and embrace her; whether she takes betel from their mouth; whether she lets strangers scratch her chin [pubis]. This means that a woman behaving thus can be obtained if the opportunity arises.

बाह्य परिचय – नायिका का दर्शन मुख और नेत्रों को भावसूचक चेष्टाओं के साथ ही करना चाहिये। उसे देखते समय बार बार अपने बालों को ठीक करे या सहलाये, नखों से खुजाये, आभूषणों को ठीक करे, अपने अधर को मसले और अपने समवयस्क मित्रों के साथ उसके देखते हुए ही उन उन लीलाओं को करे अन्य के बहाने उसकी बात करे, अपनी त्यागशीलता और भोगविलासों को प्रकट करे, मित्र की गोद में लेटकर अँगड़ाई और जम्हाई लेता हुआ उसकी ओर भहि नचाये। धीरे से बोले और उसकी बातें सुनने का प्रयत्न करे। उसको लक्ष्य करके बालक का चुम्बन और आलिङ्गन करे, बालक को जीभ से पान दे, तर्जनी अंगुलि से उसके कपोलों को गुदगुदाये समय और स्थान देखकर इन योगों में जिनका प्रयोग कर सके, उनका प्रयोग करे॥७॥

तस्याश्चाङ्कगतस्य बालस्य लालनं बालक्रीडनकानां चास्य दानं ग्रहणं तेन सन्निकृष्टत्वात्कथायोजनं तत्संभाषणक्षमेण जनेन च प्रीतिमासाद्य कार्यं तदनुबन्धं च गमनागमनस्य योजनं संश्रये चास्यास्तामपश्यतो नाम कामसूत्रसङ्ख्या ॥ ८ ॥
Relations are easy with a boy who has been close to her since childhood, playing amorous games and children's games; whose gifts she has received; and who told her tales when she was with him: "He who is skillful with words wins people's friendship and establishes a bond with them." Hiding himself, but in such a way that she can hear him, he recites the Kama Sutra.

नायिका की गोद में बैठे बालक को प्यार करे, उसे खेलने के लिये खिलौने दे और फिर उन्हें ले ले। पास आकर उससे बातें करे। जो व्यक्ति उस नायिका से बातें कर सकता हो, उससे सम्बन्ध स्थापित कर ले और अपना प्रयोजन सिद्ध करने का प्रयास करे। किसी काम का बहाना निकालकर नायिका के घर आवागमन प्रारम्भ कर दे। एकान्त में बैठकर कामसूत्र की ऐसी कथा-वार्ताएं करे जिन्हें नायिका सुन सके, किन्तु यह न समझ पाये कि यह मुझे देखकर या लक्ष्य कर ही ये रससित कथा वार्ताएं कर रहा है ॥ ८ ॥

प्रसृते तु परिचये तस्या हस्ते न्यासं निक्षेपं च निदध्यात्। तत्प्रतिदिनं प्रतिक्षणं चैकदेशतो गृह्णीयात् । सौगन्धिकं पूगफलानि च ॥ १ ॥
When their mutual acquaintance develops, he lends her objects and takes them back. Each day, at every moment, she keeps something, such as, for example, scented betel nuts.

आभ्यन्तर परिचय परिचय बढ़ जाने पर उस नायिका के हाथ में न्यास और निक्षेप कर दे। तत्पश्चात् प्रतिदिन या प्रतिक्षण अंशरूप में उससे ग्रहण करता चले इत्र, सुपारी आदि वस्तुएँ प्रतिदिन दी जाती हैं ॥ ९ ॥
