तया सह पुष्पावचयं ग्रथनं गृहकं दुहितृकाक्रीडायोजनं भक्तपानकरणमिति कुर्वीत। परिचयस्य वयसश्चानुरूप्यात् ॥ ६ ॥
Since their childhood, they had talked together about flowers, ways of making garlands, housework, ways of making money, the reasons for being faithful. They described to one another the people they knew.

बालक के प्रयास – वाञ्छित कन्या के साथ फूल चुनना, फूलों की मालाएँ बनाना, मिट्टी के घरौंदे बनाना, गुड़ियों का खेल खेलना, भात बनाना, पेयपदार्थ तैयार करना-ये खेल अपने परिचय और अवस्था के अनुरूप खेले ॥ ६ ॥

आकर्षक्रीडा पट्टिकाक्रीडा मुष्टितक्षुल्लकादिद्यूतानि मध्यमाङ्गुलिग्रहणं षट्पाषाणकादीनि च देश्यानि तत्सात्म्यात् तदाप्तदासचेटिकाभिस्तया च सहानुक्रीडेत ॥ ७ ॥
They would play together at the game of pulling strings, their hands overlapping, at hiding dice in their fist, clinging to the middle finger, or at the six pebble game, as well as others that they played at home with their chums or servants.

रस्सा खींचना, दोनों हाँथों की अंगुलायों को एक-दूसरे में फँसाकर चक्कर लगाते हुए खेलना, मुट्ठी में कोई वस्तु रखकर पूछना कि बता- इसमें क्या है? बीच की अंगुलि को अन्य अंगुलियों में छिपाकर पकड़वाना और गोटी खेलना-बाल्यकाल में इस देश्य खेलों को भी वाञ्छित कन्या के साथ खेलना चाहिये ॥ ७ ॥

क्ष्वेडितकानि, सुनिमीलितकामारब्धिकां लवणवीथिकामनिलताडितकां गोधूमपुज्जिकामङ्गुलिताडितकाम् सखीभिरन्यानि च देश्यानि ॥ ८ ॥
They would play at finding an object blindfolded, at the saltseller, at turning their hands around forward, at finding a coin in a stock of corn, at the game of the blindman and the thief, and other village games.

आँखमिचौनी, कृष्णफलक्रीड़ा, लवणवोधिका, अनिलताडितका, गोधूमपञ्जिका, अंगुलितादितका तथा अपने अपने प्रदेश में प्रचलित खेलों को वान्छित कन्या के साथ खेलना चाहिये ॥ ८॥

यां च विश्वास्यामस्यां मन्येत तया सह निरन्तरां प्रीतिं कुर्यात्। परिचयाँश्च बुध्येत् ॥ ९ ॥
Those who gain each other's trust end up by becoming attached to one another, out of habit.

युवक के प्रयास-जिस कन्या से युवक प्रेम करना चाहता हो, उसकी विश्वस्त सखी से निरन्तर प्रेम और परिचय बढ़ाता रहे ॥ ९ ॥

धात्रेयिकां चास्याः प्रियहिताभ्यामधिकमुपगृह्णीयात्। सा हि प्रीयमाणा विदिताकाराप्यप्रत्यादिशन्ती तं तां च योजयितुं शक्नुयात्। अनभिहितापि प्रत्याचार्यकम्॥ १० ॥
The daughter of the boy's nurse can also serve to win the girl's affection and friendship. Once she has taken her for a friend, if she sees that the girl has doubts about the boy's qualities, she will remove them and make her well disposed and fearless.

सखी को वशवर्ती बनाने का लाभ नायिका की धाय की पुत्री या सखी को प्रिय और हितकर बातों से अपने वशीभूत कर लेना चाहिये, क्योंकि वशीभूत हो जाने पर वह दोनों के मनोभावों को जानकर, किसी से कहे बिना ही मिला देगी, मिलाने में तो वह आचार्य ही होती है ॥ १० ॥
