सन्धिचतुष्टयकाले जन्तोर्मृत्युं समादिशेत्तज्ज्ञः। पापयुतो दृष्टो वा चन्द्रः सौम्यैरदृष्टयुतः॥३६॥
The four kinds of junctions or conjunction of the Moo n with malefics wil l cause death (infant) and similar results follow if the Moo n is in aspect to malefics without benefic's aspect or company. (Note: The four junctions or Sandhi chathushtayas are: (1) The twilight time, (2) The point where two Rasis meet, (3) The point where two stars meet, (4) The time where two thithis meet. )

If the Moon be aspected by or conjoined with malefics and not benefics, or if she be associated with malefics and occupies the Lagna, the 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th or 12th house and at the same time be not aspected by or conjoined with benefics, she will certainly bring about the death of the native.

If the lords of the Lagna and the sign occupied by the Moon be posited in a nativity in the 6th, 8th or 12th house, or be eclipsed, they will conspire to destroy the native in as many years as the number of the Rasi they occupy denotes.

When the Moon is posited in the 6th or the 8th house and the Lagna is occupied by its lord, or when the waning Moon is aspected by both benefics and malefics, one born by day will be short-lived.
