न पश्यति गुरौ चन्द्रं लग्नं च परजातकः। सार्केन्दुनेक्षिते जीवे सूर्येन्दू पापसंयुतौ॥१६॥
When the Moon or the Lagna is not aspected by Jupiter, the child is born of a paramour. The same effect should be declared if Jupiter is aspected by the Moon in conjunction with the Sun, and if the Sun and the Moon are associated with malefics.

गुरुराश्यंशके चन्द्रे चन्द्रराश्यंशके गुरौ॥१७॥
When the Moon is posited in a Rasi or Navamsa belonging to Jupiter, or Jupiter is in a Rasi or Navamsa owned by the Moon -

परस्परांशराशिस्थौ चन्द्रार्कौ नैव जारजः। पूर्वोक्तयोगसंभूतो परैर्जात इतीष्यते॥१८॥
- or when the Sun and the Moon are posited each in the other's Rasi or Amsa, the child should be positively declared to be legitimate and not born of a paramour, while those born under the yogas mentioned previously are to be pronounced as illegitimate.

कालस्याङ्गविभागेषु यस्मिन् राशौ शुभाः स्थिताः। तत्र लक्ष्मव्रणादीनि चिन्तयेत्तन्निमित्ततः॥१९॥
Among the signs which represent the various limbs of Kalapurusha, note which Rasis are occupied by benefics; one should expect in those limbs some marks (moles), scars (ulcers) etc. caused by those planets. (Benefics cause only moles and such other marks, while malefics do ulcers, etc.)

सद्यो मरणयोगा हि बहवः शास्त्रदर्शिताः। (लक्षिताः।) तेभ्यः सिद्धान्तयोगास्तु वक्ष्यन्तेऽत्र समासतः॥२०॥
Many yogas leading to the sudden death of a child have been enumerated in the Sastras (science). I shall here briefly mention only the most important ones from among them.
