कर्माष्टकमिदं गोप्यं घटशोधनकारकम् I कस्यचिन्नैव वक्तव्यं कुलस्त्रीसुरतं यथा ॥१-२८॥
The eight karmas are to be kept secret, as they are effective in cleansing the body (ghata). These should not be disclosed to anybody, like a noble woman who would not disclose her sexual pleasures to anybody.

आठ कर्मों को गुप्त रखा जाना चाहिए, क्योंकि वे शरीर (घट) को शुद्ध करने में प्रभावी हैं। इन्हें किसी के सामने प्रकट नहीं किया जाना चाहिए, जैसे एक कुलीन महिला जो अपने यौन सुखों को किसी के सामने प्रकट नहीं करेगी।
