शान्तिं राष्ट्रविवृद्ध्यै कृत्वा भूयो अभिचारकैर्मन्त्रैः । मृत्मयं अरिं विभिन्द्यात्शूलेनौरःस्थले विप्रः ॥ ४४-२१ ॥

Besides, for the prosperity of the country, the priest, after performing Homa by means of the abhicāra mantras, shall, with the spear, stab in the breast a figure of the enemy made of earth.

खलिनं हयाय दद्यादभिमन्त्र्य पुरोहितस्ततो राजा । आरुह्यौदक्पूर्वां यायान्नीराजितः सबलः ॥ ४४-२२ ॥

The priest shall then touch with his fingers the bit of the bridle and put it in the horse’s mouth. The king, after purification by Lustration, shall get on the back of the horses and attended by his army, shall proceed towards the north and other directions for purposes of conquest.

On all sides of the mountains were rows of swans, as if they were flying white feathers. The beautiful garlands were washed by the breezes carrying fragrant fragrances.

नैकवर्णमणिवज्रभूषितैर्भूषितो मुकुटकुण्डलाङ्गदैः । भूरिरत्नकिरणानुरञ्जितः शक्रकार्मुक रुचिं समुद्वहन् ॥ ४४-२५ ॥

He was adorned with jewels and diamonds of various colors and wore a crown, earrings and ornaments. The bow of Indra was decorated with the rays of abundant gems and carried the taste of the bow.
