लेखने भेदने चायं क्रमः सर्वत्र वर्त्मनि । पित्तास्रोत्क्लिष्टयोः स्वादुस्कन्धसिद्धेन सर्पिषा ॥१६॥
This is the procedure of scraping and pricking, Puncturing in all the diseases of the eyelids. In cases where Pitta and blood (rakta) are aggravated/excited (pittāsrotkliṣṭa), the patient should first be administered oleation therapy using ghee processed with herbs of the sweet group (svādu-skandha).

hk transliteration by Sanscriptसिराविमोक्षः स्निग्धस्य त्रिवृच्छ्रेष्ठं विरेचनम् । लिखिते स्रुतरक्ते च वर्त्मनि क्षालनं हितम् ॥ १७ ॥
Once properly unctuated (snigdha), bloodletting by venesection (sirāvimokṣa) should be performed, followed by purgation using trivrit (Operculina turpethum), which is the best therapeutic laxative. After the eyelid has been scraped and the bleeding has ceased, washing the eyelid is beneficial.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptयष्टीकषायः सेकस्तु क्षीरं चन्दनसाधितम् । पक्ष्मणां सदने सूच्या रोमकूपान् विकुट्टयेत् ॥ १८ ॥
Washing/cleansing of the eyelid should be done with a decoction of yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra), and irrigating or bathing the eye (seka) should be carried out using milk processed with chandana (Santalum album). In the condition of falling/loss of eyelashes (pakṣma-sadana), the hair follicles (romakūpa) at the base of the lashes should be carefully pricked or scarified using a fine needle.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptग्राहयेद्वा जलौकोभिः पयसेक्षुरसेन वा । वमनं नावनं सर्पिः शृतं मधुरशीतलैः ॥ १९ ॥
Alternatively, bloodletting should be carried out by applying leeches (jalaukas) after smearing the area with milk or sugarcane juice. Emesis therapy (vamana) should then be administered, followed by nasal drop therapy (nāvana/nasya) using ghee processed with herbs that possess sweet (madhura) taste and cold (shītala) potency.

Puspakasisa well powdered is soaked in the juice of Ocimum sanctum kept in a copper vessel, after ten days this if used as a colyrium is best in Paksmasata.
